OPERATION MANUAL

‘ENKAY’ SIEVE SHAKER : MOTORISED

The motorized unit Sieve Shaker is designed to sieve a variety of materials

through a series of sieves stacked with their aperture sizes in numerical
descending order.

When a large number of samples are to be sieved, the motorized Sieve

Shaker is ideal instrument, since it saves considerable time and labor and
are, therefore recommended when large number samples are to be tested.

CONSTRUCTION

The equipment has a sturdy cast iron body, with an

inclined sieve table suitable to accommodate a maximum number of seven
sieves of 200mm dia. An adjustable top clamping plate is provided to hold
the sieves. The table has a gyratory motion in addition to up and down
jolting action. The operating gear assembly is enclosed in an oil bath fitted
with a transparent oil level indicating window.

The equipment is suitable for operation on 220v, 50 Hz, single-phase supply.

PROCEDURE FOR OPERATION

 Place the Sieve Shaker on a leveled solid surface.

 Provide 230 Volts, Single Phase, 50 Hz AC supply to the machine from
the Mains.

 Place the receiver on the sieve table and over it stack 6 – 7 seives such
that the sieve having a the biggest aperture is on top followed the next
highest aperture and so on .
 Place the lid op the top most sieve.
 Prior to starting the operation, place the material to be sieved,
weighing the contents of each sieve to the nearest gram.
 Switch ON the Sieve Shaker by operating the switch.
 Carefully remove each sieve for the needful to be done.

The Sieve Shaker is also suitable for use with 300 mm dia sieves for which an
adaptor is provided.

After fixing the adaptor of 300 mm sieve, follow the above procedure.
