Biak Numfor regency is one of the regencies in the Papua province which
consist of islands which are geographically located at a very strategic position
between 134°47-136°45 east longtitude and 0° 55-1° 27" south latitude.
The mainland area of Biak numfor regency is 2.602 km2 ( or 0.62 % of the area
of papua's province, which has the areas of 421.983 km2, consist of 2 big
islands, namely Biak island (1.700 km2) and numfor island 323 km2 and parts
of them are small islands of 42 island with a whole area about 481 km2. As the
administration Biak Numfor Regency borders to the Pasific ocean in the North,
and yapen strait in the south and supiori regency in the west
The strategic’s Geographic location of Biak numfor regency gives opportunities
of business for industrial investment, trade, fishery and a great tourism sector.
