② Attaching “SECTION 4” to the Sample Bottle

1. Check that an air space has

been left above sample and that
the seal is tight.

2. Please detach the sample label
from top of “SECTION 4” and
attach to the sample bottle.

3. If “ISO 4406/4407” test is required, please prepare

ANOTHER sample bottle（2 bottles samples)and
attach the lower label in “SECTION 4” to this
sample bottle.

③ Attaching the Lab Address Label to the Envelope

1. Please attach the relevant laboratory coloured address label to

the plastic envelope.

④ Putting the Bottles and the Labels into the Envelope

1. Please put the sample bottles and “SECTION 2” & “SECTION 3” of

the label into the plastic envelope. (Please keep “SECTION 1” in
your vessel for your record.) 5 or 6 bottles can be put together into
each envelope.
2. Please seal the envelope using the two sealing strips.

 ⑤ Sending the Sample Bottles to Shell Laboratory

Agent Shell laboratory

1. Please hand over the envelopes with sample bottles to your agent
onshore.- MUST NOT hand over to delivery barge/truck.
2. The agent will send them to Shell laboratory.

*Please do NOT send the sample bottles to China & India labs outside
of respective country in case of expensive custom clearance caused
by.

Instruction for ISO 4406/7 sampling

 Cleanliness Particle Count (ISO 4406/7) requires 2 sample bottles with the same sample number (SECTION 4).

 For ISO 4407 send samples to UK lab only, for ISO 4406 samples can be sent to any of our labs.
How to use Section 4 ?

Please Make sure:

 2 full bottles of sample taken
 Same sample number on each

 Keep in line with sample

number in section 2
