Reduces the appearance
of skin redness
By inhibiting trpvi channel, Tazman Pepper™, decreases
inflammatory markers. It reduces instantly itching and burning
sensations and reduces the appearance of skin redness.
Men should not underestimate the countless harmful factors affecting their skin: shaving,
sweat, UV, pollution, allergens, etc. All these stressful elements provoke the epidermis to
overdrive and leave it no choice but to react! Skin reactivity is a complex inflammatory
process occurring as a result of long-term exposition to external aggressions. Thus,
men need specific and efficient daily skin care protection adapted to their lifestyle to
prevent and reduce skin reactivity.
Tazman Pepper™ is a natural Australian active ingredient extracted from the Tasmanian
pepper berry, specially designed for sensitive skin to protect and reduce skin sensibility
for better skin comfort.
Traditional usage
Australian Aboriginal people were incredibly clever gatherers. Based on thousands of
years of experiences in harsh environments and knowledge passed through generations,
they knew how to exploit the properties of the plants. Early European explorers of the
continent described the diet of the Aborigines to be at least as healthy as in a modern
society. The pepper berry was called ‘Mourao’ by them.
The Tasmanian pepper berries taste slightly sweet in the first second only, followed by
spicy flavor. The biological activity of Tasmanian pepper berry was already exploited by
the Aborigines many centuries ago. It is considered a traditional food in Australia by the
Food Standards Australia New Zealand and is listed in the CODEX.
Composition
The Tasmanian pepper berry contains a powerful active ingredient called polygodial. It
is an anti-inflammatory agent effective to reduce vasodilatation and oedema. Studies
have demonstrated that polygodial calms skin discomforts. It has anti-allergic and
broad antimicrobial activities.
The berry also contains anthocyanins which are free radical scavengers that protect
cells from oxidative damage. The fruit extract has shown to have an antioxidant
power 3X greater than blueberries (TEAC). It also contains rutin, an anti-inflammatory
mediator known to strengthen capillaries. It will have a great impact on reducing the
appearance of dark circles.
THE BURDEN OF LIVING WITH A SENSITIVE SKIN...
Sebastian Stephanie
Sensitive skin is vulnerable to external aggressions such as heat and chemical irritants making it more prone to react, causing skin
redness, itching and burning sensations which are manifestations of inflamed skin. The activation of skin discomfort sensor TRPV1
channel, expressed on sensory neurons and keratinocytes, plays an essential role in the initiation and the perpetuation of skin
inflammation.
