Theatre Play
Injustices and discrimination in the present society can be illustrated through art and literature, providing a
creative expression of one’s concern towards the oppressed and marginalized. With the fusion of arts and
literature, theatre plays gives life to the intense, poignant, and powerful messages of the play scripts. The
performance makes meaningful connection between the writer’s in-depth understanding of the societal issues
and the vision towards the solution to these problems. Hence, in this unit, the students must able compose
at least one scene for a one-act play that can be staged, portraying the God’s divine intervention in various
societal issues. As a minimum standard, the play script must be at least a 10-minute one-act play, tackling a
specific problem of injustice and discrimination in the country, to be performed in a stage. The performance
will be graded under the provided criteria.
