• Saat ini, kontribusi langsung industri daging merah dan peternakan terhadap produk
domestik bruto Australia adalah sekitar $7 miliar, menjadikannya kontributor yang
signifikan terhadap perekonomian nasional (MISP, 2015).
• Pada tahap ekspor global, industri daging merah Australia telah memberikan kontribusi
yang luar biasa terhadap kebutuhan dunia akan daging merah berkualitas tinggi. Industri
ini memberikan kontribusi penting terhadap kinerja perdagangan Australia secara
keseluruhan dengan menghasilkan pendapatan ekspor sebesar $6 miliar dan
menempatkan industri ini dalam lima besar industri ekspor Australia pada tahun 2014-
2015.
• Industri daging merah adalah produsen makanan terbesar di Australia dan pemberi
lapangan kerja yang besar di wilayah pedesaan dan regional, yang secara langsung
mempekerjakan sekitar 200.000 orang ((76.800 bekerja di perusahaan peternakan
dengan sapi; 43.012 bekerja di perusahaan peternakan dengan domba dan domba),
53.200 dipekerjakan dalam pengolahan daging dan sekitar 24.000 orang bekerja di
sektor grosir dan eceran).

• Sejumlah faktor mungkin menyarankan perlunya merancang
logistik/rantai pasokan.
• Proses yang formal dan terstruktur untuk desain dan alat digital lebih
disukai; potensi dampak terhadap biaya dan layanan membenarkan
upaya yang signifikan untuk mengikuti proses yang baik.
