Good evening professor

About the project on your subject, I would like to do it on a hot air balloon.

The system considers a balloon and thanks to the aerostatic thrust caused by the heating of the
air inside the balloon by means of a burner, it can rise vertically, overcoming air resistance,
weight force and any resistance due to air currents.

The analysis will be performed as follows:

1. Determines the equilibrium of the system.

2. Consider that you have the measurement of the mound altitude and that you can
control the heat output of the burner. determine a state representation of the linearized
system around the equilibrium calculated in the previous point.
3. Determine for the linearized system the transfer function between input and output and
the transfer function between perturbation and output.
4. Determine a control law that allows the following to be carried out:
• Starting from the equilibrium point, the balloon moves a distance to reach an accuracy
within a set time.
• The system must be able to completely nullify the effect of the altitude of a constant
disturbance.
• Describe the instructions of a program that simulates the free dynamics of the nonlinear
system starting from equilibrium conditions with a constant perturbation.
• Consider a system whose characteristic polynomial is given by:
𝜋(𝑠) = 𝑠 3 + 𝑏1 𝑠 2 + 𝑏2 𝑠 + 𝑏3

where the parameters 𝑏𝑖 are within the following ranges:

1 ≤ 𝑏𝑖 ≤ 2
2 ≤ 𝑏𝑖 ≤ 4
1 ≤ 𝑏𝑖 ≤ 3
Decide on the stability of the system.

5. Using a block diagram evaluate a global transfer.
