1.

UAN Activation Process:

Step No. 1: Go to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/

Step No. 2: You will come to “Welcome to Member E-Sewa”

Step No. 3: Select Activate UAN

Step No. 4: Enter your Universal Account Number (UAN), which is reflecting on the salary slip

Step No. 5: Enter your Name

Step No. 6: Enter your Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)

Step No. 7: Enter your Mobile Number

Step No. 8: Enter your E-Mail ID

Step No. 9: Please type the characters shown in the text box (case-sensitive)

Step No. 10: Get Pin on your Mobile

Step No. 11: Say I Agree & Enter the Pin in the box below and submit

Step No. 12: Click on link “Please click here to continue further”

Step No. 13: Enter Username and Password (SMS received from the PF Office) and sign in

2. KYC Updation Process:

Further to the allotment of UAN, EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Office) has also initiated the
process of online KYC updation on UAN portal.

As per the revised process the member needs to login on UAN portal & make the request for online
KYC updation.

Step 1: Login to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ using your UAN as


Login ID and Password.

Step 2: Go to Manage > Edit KYC Details

Step 3: Update your KYC (Aadhaar, Bank & PAN)

Step 4: Submit for approval

Once you update the record, the same will be approved by the Employer.

Please note, Your EPF database details should match with the Aadhaar database. If there is any
discrepancy, the KYC updation would not succeed. You will have to apply for online correction
through “Modify Basic Details” (Process 3) on UAN portal.
3. Modification Process (Name Change/DOB /Gender):

Further to the allotment of UAN, EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Office) has also initiated the
process of online Name, DOB & Gender change on UAN portal.

As per the revised process the member needs to login on UAN portal & make the request for
Name/DOB /Gender change as per Aadhaar.

Step 1: Login to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ using your UAN as


Login ID and Password.

Step 2: Go to Manage > Modify Basic Details

Step 3: Update your correct details as per Aadhaar

Step 4: Submit for approval

Once you update the record, the same will be approved by Employer and PF Office.

Please note, post all level approvals, the correct details would be updated on UAN portal by PF
Office.

4. Online PF & Pension Withdrawal Process:

Step 1: Login to https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ using your UAN as


Login ID and Password.

Step 2: Go to “Online Services” option select “Form 19 for provident fund & Form 10 C for
pension”.

Step 3: Basic details will appear. Enter your bank account number & press verify button to verify
your bank details.

Step 4: Accept the terms & conditions, then your basic details will appear on screen.

Step 5: OTP will be sent to Aadhaar registered mobile number

Step 6: Enter the OTP & submit the claim.
