Member can follow below mentioned for UAN activation.

Once UAN has been activated


he/she can update their KYC like Aadhaar, PAN, Mobile, Bank Account details.

(Before you begin ensure you have your UAN number and your PF Member ID handy, which
will be available under: Pace >>My Quick Links >>View PF Statement

ACTIVATION PROCESS

1. Visit www.epfindia.gov.in on your browser. (Internet facility – Google chrome


required)
2. Select ‘Our Services’ and in the drop-down menu select ‘For employees’.
3. On this page click on ‘Member UAN/Online Services’. The page that now opens
will take you to the UAN Member Portal.

4. On this page, click on ‘Activate your UAN’, which is located under ‘Important
Links’ on the right-hand side.
5. Enter details as prompted such as:
a) Universal Account Number or UAN.
b) Your mobile number [this number is your ‘registered mobile number’].
c) Your Provident Fund Member ID (e.g. MH BAN 18796 000 123456).
d) Enter the captcha code and click on ‘Get authorization PIN’.
e) You will receive OTP received from EPFO on your registered mobile
number
f) Check the details and Click on ‘I Agree’ and enter the OTP as received on
your registered mobile number.
g) Then you will receive message “Your UAN is activated. The Password is
send to your registered mobile number.”
h) Member can click on “GO TO HOME” to go back to member log in page or
can visit below mentioned link and change password received on your
mobile

(Activation of login takes some time; member can retry after some time).
i) Member can login go to ACCOUNT -> CHANGE PASSWORD as per there
requirement after logging for first time.
j) Also once member has logged in he/she need to check on right hand side
under Member Profile given details like: - UAN; Name; Birth Date;
Gender; AADHAAR (Verified); PAN (Verified); Bank Account No.; Mobile
No.; E-mail are updated. If not same need to be updated.

PROCESS FOR KYC UPDATION (Aadhaar, PAN, Bank Acct No.)

A] MANAGE  ADD KYC and submit your Aadhaar details.

In case member is getting message as “Aadhaar authentication failed Aadhaar


number, name, DOB and Gender mismatch with registered data” member can try
modifying Aadhaar details by following method path: -

B] MANAGE  MODIFY BASIC DETAILS and submit.

1. Aadhaar Number : 999999999999 (Update Aadhaar Number)


2. Name : XXXXXXXXXXXX (It should be exactly as per Aadhaar)
3. Date of Birth : DD/MM/YYYY (Date of Birth as per Aadhaar)
4. Gender : Male / Female / Transgender
Note: Members are requested to submit one request at a time stating with Aadhaar
updation first, once Aadhaar is update member can go for Bank and PAN updation.

Once the request is submitted it will be displayed to the employer in EPFO site for
digital approval. After approval done by the employer it will be displayed to the EPFO,
Bandra for their approval. Once EPFO approve your request the updated details will
be displayed against your UAN.

Similarly, member can update other KYC PAN, Bank Account.
