Valmet Calender Roll Cover CPU

Soft calender roll cover

e bulk saving soft Valmet Calender
Roll Cover CPU provides a long nip.
It is durable enough to withstand
medium calender loads and speeds.
e cover has been designed for spe-
cial soft calendering processes.

Applications hand-held washer or oscillating high pressure shower

Ÿ Calender DC rolls may also be used. e maximum pressure allowed,
from a distance of 100 mm (4") or more and with a
Cleaning dispersing nozzle, is 6 MPa (60 bar/870 psi) if the
cover is soer than 15 P&J, or 8 MPa (80 bar/1,160

hydroxide solution is recommended. e cover may be
wiped clean with an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent. A

Patching and repair

Patch repair may be considered in the case of smaller
surface problems. Please consult Valmet.

Chemical resistance
Excellent resistance against all normal process chemi-
cals. Recommended pH range: 4–9. Avoid prolonged
exposure to strong alkalis and acids or alcohols.

Doctoring recommendations
Normally Valmet Calender Roll Cover CPU is not
doctored.
