Egypt is situated in Africa . It has very ancient history . The general

geography of Egypt is different. The most important areas in Egypt are
the fertile lands around the Nile River, the dam and the oil fields along
the Mediterranean coast, as well as the oil fields found throughout the
country. Egypt consists of large deserts, fertile land areas, and
urbanized areas.
Ancient Egypt was famous its monument , culture and history in the
world.
They were busy collecting and hunting . They were called their
country “ The Black Land “ , because this land was very fertile.
Some “ firsts” is relate with them:

Anatomy
Medicine and other fields of science were very developed. They could
treat some diseases and performed simple surgical operations.

First Calendar
The Egyptians created a special calendar. They divided the year into 12
months of 30 days each. 5 days were added at the end of the year. The
year consisted of 365 days. one day left. They divided day and night into
24 hours. They invented water and sundials.
Religion Views
They were polytheist ( coxallahli). For example , Hepri-Sun God ,
Sokmet- War God , Tot – Beauty God, Ra-The Great God
They believed also Moon God.

►They made various ornaments and weapons from copper and bronze
►They wove different types of fabrics from linen ( ketan )
►They wove mats and baskets from reeds ( qamış)and papyrus
►They produced sugar.

Interesting information about the pyramids

1) Dirty water is cleaned there

in a few days
3) The researchers who went there did not come back
4) The inside of the pyramids is cold in summer and warm in winter.
 5) Ultrasound, radar, radiation devices do not work inside the
pyramids.

The Giza pyramids are considered the largest pyramids in the

world. In addition to the Giza pyramids, there are hundreds of
large and small pyramids in Egypt.
The first pyramid belongs to Joser. The pyramids of Giza differ
from other pyramids mainly in that no inscriptions have been
found in these pyramids, and how they were built is still
unknown to science.

And also there are some interesting facts about pyramids

- The stones in the pyramids are between 2 and 15 tons.

- The number of pyramid stones is about 3 million.
-The granite stone on the ceiling of the royal room weighs about 70
tons.
- The height of the pyramid is 149.4 meters.
- If you put a piece of meat in the room in the pyramid, the liquids
will dry up, but not rot. ( curumek)
