RESUME
At this time the era is increasingly advanced and modern. Moreover, in the digital world,
now people can access various information through digital media via the internet. This is
evidenced by the increasing use of the internet. Starting from June 2018 internet usage has
exceeded 4 billion users, meaning that around 55.1% of the world's population accesses the
internet (source Internet Word Static 2018). The number of internet users in Indonesia is no
less growing. 2 million internet users in Indonesia were recorded in 2000, and experienced
very rapid growth as of June 2018 exceeding 100 million. This proves that the Indonesian
people, including Muslims, have accessed information using the internet. Many changes are
starting to be seen from the use of the internet in Indonesian society, both from the positive
and negative sides
One of the positive impacts of the development of the internet is about the use of hadith
studies. In the current era, people only need to access the application or can access the books
of hadith through digital forms such as PDF. With so easily we can access all of that without
having to have a large collection of hadith books that were printed like the classical era, in
addition to the number of books written by classical scholars is very limited and hampers the
accessibility of its use. This is in stark contrast to the classical era where the companions,
tabi'in tabi'tabiin and earlier scholars had to do rihlah just to listen to one hadith, then they
collected all the hadiths and compiled them into several books of hadith that are well known
today. It is easy for us who live in today's era to just access the internet media to find the
desired hadith.
There are several researchers who have developed regarding the development of internet
media digitization in the religious field, such as those done by Ahmad, Basri, Rahman, &
Masrup. He developed a mobile fatwa application for Malaysians in order to make it easier
for Malaysians to find various types of fatwa information. Digitization is also applied in the
concept of education in libraries such as converting collections of documents and works of art
into digital form. Where makes it easier for all of us to be able to access it via the internet.
