DER AKKUSATIV
THE ACCUSATIVE CASE

With the accusative case, you can juggle the sentence parts in German and always know the
meaning.
When you move parts of the sentence around, the first part is emphasized.
The verb always stays in the second position.

Ich trinke den Kaffee = Den Kaffee trinke ich

I ask the man ≈ The man I ask


This kind of juggling is not so easy in English. You can do it, but it will probably sound like Dr. Seuss.
