The bar chart gives information about the percentage of government’s expenditure spent on roads and

transport in four nations (Italia, Portugal, UK, USA) over a period of 20 years ( 1900, 1995, 2000 and
2005).
Overall, it can be seen that the proportion of government’s money devoted to road and transport was the
most in Portugal. It is also clear that the UK spent money on these fields was the least in all meansured
years.
According to the graph, the Italian government used money for roads and transport over 20%, and this
was a slightly decrease at 20% in 1995. In the first year, Portugese government’s buget was the most
consideration (more than 25%) during the period time. Later, there was a small decline of approximately
25%, after which point this figure started to go down to in 2000, 2005 about 23% and at 20%
respectively. While, the percentage money of Italia went up gradually to about 20% in 2000. However, it
dropped to less than 20%.
In 1990, the UK government’s buget devoted to these domains was less than 2% the US did in this year.
The opposite was true for the UK in next 5 years that was more than 2% USA’s government. There was a
slight rise of nearly 12% in the figures for using money on roads and transport in UK in 2000, after which
the proportion plummeted about 8%. It was an upward trend in the last 10 years when the percentage of
government’s money paid increased about 13% and at 15% respectively.
