DAN SCOTT.

Hi, I’m Dan Scott. I’m 14 years old and I live in Canada. I am brilliant at math and
singing. I listen to music and train my voice every single day. My mum, Diana,
thinks I am very talented and clever. My biggest dream is to be a well-known artist
in the future.

In my free time, I like to play soccer and going to the cinema with my friends. My
favorite movie of all the times is Jurassic World. I also like dinosaurs, the
Allosaurus is one of my dearest ones, and taking photos of the landscapes. It is
something I even enjoy doing. I have an album of them in my iPhone.

My friends and I hang out together almost every day. When we go out of the
school, we spend the whole afternoon doing things together. We always do the
homework before having fun since it is important to be responsible. They always
ask me for help them in math.

Daniella, one of our friends, is my best friend. She is just one year older than me.
She is very good at languages. She speaks English, French, Spanish and Italian.
My mum loves her, and Daniella usually comes home to have dinner. Her parents
work travelling, and she stays with her grandma in Quebec.

My father, Roy Scott, is a local artist and he plays in a band at bars. My mum works
as a biology teacher in Quebec high school. We always have dinner together even
though my father is busy all the time and my mum works hard all day long. I have
a great family and I am so happy for that.

 WRITING TIPS.

Before writing a text in English, it is important to know these steps.

• Write a coherent paragraph.

It is important to keep the same idea in each paragraph you are going to
write. Try to keep that idea in the whole paragraph. If you want to keep on
with that idea, you can write it down in another paragraph, this time
emphasizing with it.

• Lineal paragraphs are better.

Your body paragraph must have the almost the same extension in every
single paragraph you write. Try to keep the same lines in each paragraph.
This will look more formal and nicer to see.

• Every text has an introduction and a conclusion.

In English, we have a special order to write a text. We are going to start
with an introduction of the topic and finish with a conclusion. The idea
must be the same through the body of the text.

4 Write a text like in 1 about your family. Take into consideration the writing
tips that you have previously read. Write more than 100 words and two
paragraphs.
