ABOUT ME:

I am currently living in Zambales.

I am pursuing painting, meaning molding and

carving are not my thing, but when I saw the
results of my work in this course it felt like
victory. The whole course has taught me to
be strong emotionally, especially with plaster
reproduction.
 I had zero knowledge of what plaster can do, so I
didn't have any expectations with the plate. The
entire process sounded alien to me.
EXPECTATIONS

EXPECTATIONS
Something that really shocked me about plaster is
that we can buy it at a very low price if we were to
get it from art shops. Unfortunately, I live in the
province, so I don't have any choice but to buy
overpriced plaster from online shops.

My journey with this plate is the most unforgettable

connect and not break- I decided to add a hair of

 DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

Ancient sculptures are the foundation

of our modern art. the whole concept
was actually written in Tagalog
"kamay ang ginamit nating pangukit
noong nakaraan, kamay din ang
gagamitin natin sa pagyabong ng
nakaraan patungo sa ngayon."

This semester taught me to be emotionally strong. How? Drying plaster takes time, and it takes
strength and courage to pull the cast from its plaster mold. Every breakage of the plaster cast was
discouraging. Honestly, it even made me think of dropping the class. Despite all the emotional

breakdown from each broken piece, thank God I didn't quit! This story sums up my experience with
the plaster.

For my second plate, my main takeaway was not letting fear eat you. I was fortunate that I had no
heartbreaks on this plate. Because of my experience with plaster, I became more cautious. Overall,
the journey felt like a beautiful war.
