“Paskorale: Lal-lo Christmas Chorale Competition”

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS

1. Each secondary school in the Municipality of Lal-lo shall send a choral group
representative.

2. Each chorale group must be composed of at least 5 and a maximum of 15 members. The
conductor and the instrumentalists, if there are, will be excluded from the number of
participants but they should not be more than five (5) persons.

3. Student-members must be currently enrolled in their respective academic institutions for

SY 2022-2023.

4. Each group shall perform a warm-up piece and a required contest piece.

Warm-up song: Group’s choice, any CHRISTMAS SONG piece from any
genre. The performance comprises thirty percent (30%) of
the total score.

Contest song : Competition song will be “Ilang Tulog Pa Ba? (Pasko

Na!)”.
The performance comprises seventy percent (70%) of the
total score.
5. Choral groups may be accompanied by live instrument or minus-one. The choral groups
may also opt to sing a capella.

6. Each group’s performance time should not exceed ten (10) minutes, including entrance
and exit. A 0.5 deduction will be given for every twenty (20) seconds overtime.

7. Drawing of lots shall be made to determine the sequence of the performance among
participants on December 2, 2022.

8. The theme of the presentation, including costume and choreography of performer is left
to the discretion of the choral group based on their own interpretation of the songs.

9. All chorale groups are prohibited from using inflammable materials such as fireworks or
pyrotechnics. A ten (10) points deduction shall be imposed against the group that violates
the provision.

THE DECISION OF THE BOARD OF JUDGES SHALL BE FINAL AND

UNAPPEALABLE.
