Lecture 9.12 Two-Point Quick Eyeball Method
Using X Method
Stage 1 - Exercise - using X method
1. Pick a corner – will be your true height line (THL) 8’
2. Select horizon line – 5’-3”
3. Place vanishing points on the left and right
Stage 2 - Exercise - using X method
4. Draw all your planes (ceiling, floor, and walls) by connecting
the top and bottom of the THL to VPs
Stage 3 - Exercise - using X method
5. Select your depth of the reference (by extending the same
distance of THL to the bottom).
Stage 4 - Exercise - using X method
6. Connect point #4 to LVP and RVP
7. Use the X geometric method (on the floor and the right
wall) to expand the interior space

Door opening is located 3’ from the corner with 4’ opening, 6’-8” height
Top of window is located at the same height as the door
1’ from the door jamb
Window size: 5’ w x 4’ h
