TS LAWCET / TS PGLCET-2023 SPOT ADMISSIONS

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES

The candidates are hereby informed that the left-over / vacancies / cancelled seats in
Private Unaided LAW colleges will be filled by the Institutional spot admissions held at the
respective colleges. The candidates desirous to seek admission are informed to contact the principal
of the respective institutions (refer to the spot admissions schedule).

➢ The details of colleges and available vacancies are placed in the website
https://lawcetadm.tsche.ac.in.
➢ Candidates without original certificates are not permitted for spot admissions.
➢ Candidate shall present with all original certificates for spot admissions verification. After
due verification the original certificates shall be returned back to the candidate after
ratification. The candidate has to submit a set of photo copies of certificates and original
transfer certificate (T.C) at the college.
➢ Fee reimbursement is not applicable to the candidates admitted under Institutional Spot
Admissions.

A. Procedure for Spot Admissions:


1. Candidates who wish to participate in spot admissions have to respond to the newspaper
notification issued by the respective colleges.

2. Candidates have to register online using the registration link provided by the respective
colleges.

3. After successfully registration, print the spot registration form.

4. Visit the concerned college with the printed registration form and all the original certificates
before the last date of submission of that particular college.

5. Get all your original certificates verified at the college and collect the acknowledgment copy.

6. Once you receive the acknowledgment copy, your name will be included in the spot
admissions counseling.

7. Spot admissions will be made based on merit (rank) obtained in TS LAWCET/TS PGLCET-
2023 following spot admission Guidelines.

8. After successful Allotment, Information will be send through SMS to the registered mobile
number.

9. Candidates who secured admission through spot admissions counseling have to pay the
tuition fee and report to the college on or before the stipulated due date and time specified by
the concerned college otherwise the admission stands cancelled and that seat will be allotted
to next candidates in the waiting list.

10. Candidates who already secure a seat in regular / spot counseling and wish to
participate/move to other college in spot admissions counseling will be allotted a seat only
after cancellation of earlier seat.

C. Eligibility Criteria:
a. Candidates shall not be allowed for spot admission without original certificates.
1. The candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
2. The candidate should satisfy the Local/Non-local status requirement as laid down in the
regulations of admissions. (Ref. G.O. Ms. No 64 dated 26.05.2006 and G.O. Ms. No
116 dated 07.08.2007 and its amendments).
3. 3-Year LL.B / BL: The Candidates for 3-year L.L.B. Course should have passed any
Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University or any other examination
recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned with 45% of aggregate marks
for general category (OC/BC), 42% for OBC Category ( and 40% for SC/ST. If any
candidate secured less than 45%, 42% and 40% respectively in graduation as stated
above, he should have secured same percentage or more on the aggregate in any Post
Graduation or B.Ed.
Note:-The candidates who have passed Degree examination by single sitting without
undergoing three years course either through regular or private or correspondence and
those who obtained the degree through open University directly without having any
basic qualification are not eligible as per G.O. Ms No. 31 dated:18-03-2009.
5-Year LL.B / BL: For 5-year LL.B. Course, the candidate should have passed two year
Intermediate Examination (with 10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks for general
category (OC/BC), 42% for OBC Category and 40% for SC/ST or any other examination
recognized as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate
Education, T.S./ A.P.
Note: The applicants who have obtained 10 + 2 or Graduation / Post graduation through
open Universities without having any basic qualification (i.e. SSC) are not eligible for
admission into LL.B Courses.

LL.M: Candidates should have passed LL.B/BL from a recognized University.

Note:
• Candidates may refer to the G.O.Ms.No.64, Higher Education (UE.II) Department, Dated:
26.05.2006, G.O. Ms. No.116 dt: 07.08.2007 and other G.Os along with amendments if any
for ascertaining their eligibility.
• The percentage of 44.5% and above in aggregate in graduation (10+2+3 Pattern)/
Intermediate Examination (with 10+2 pattern) in case of candidates belonging to general
categories (OC/BC), 41.5% or above in aggregate in graduation (10+2+3 Pattern) in case of
candidates belonging to OBC category and 39.5% and above in aggregate in
graduation(10+2+3 Pattern) in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be
considered as 45%, 42% and 40% of aggregate marks respectively for admission into LL.B
3 year and LLB 5 year courses.
• The Hon’ble High Court of Telangana in Writ Appeal. No. 597 of 2020, W.P. Nos 37566
and 42680 of 2016 and W.P. No. 28822 of 2021 vide its judgement Dated: 28.12.2021 held
that the B.A. External Graduates of Osmania University are not eligible for admission
into 3 year L.L.B. course and further the Court held that any candidates with such degree
who secured admission in L.L. B. course by virtue of Interim Orders of the High Court will
not get a right in their favour. The candidates may read the above judgement for further
details, before applying for entrance or admission.
• Who pursued education in Distance / Correspondence / Open study have to be submit
Undertaking Affidavit by the candidate, in the format is available in the website:
https://lawcetadm.tsche.ac.in.
• The OBC candidates applying for the TS LAWCET-2023 shall invariably submit their OBC
certificate issued by the competent authority to support 42% of aggregate marks in the
Graduation.
• The Bar Council of India (BCI) official website http://www.barcouncilofindia.org/ may be
seen for the Legal Education Rules, 2008.
NOTE:
• The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or Graduation / Post graduation through open
Universities without having any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into
LL.B Courses.
• LL.M: Candidates should have passed LL.B/BL from a recognized University.

a. The Bar Council of India (BCI) official website http://www.barcouncilofindia.org/ may be


visited for the Legal Education Rules, 2008.

b. Candidates possessing Degree or its equivalent Certificates other than those issued by the
University Concerned in Telangana are required to submit the equivalency certificate from the
concerned University in the State of Telangana before granting admission.

c. The dropout vacancies (Reported but discontinued) shall be allotted only to that respective
category.
d. Likewise, the not reported and cancelled seats shall be allotted to that respective category.

e. If a particular candidate is not available, that seat shall be converted to another categories,
finally after exhausting all category candidates the vacancies shall be converted to open
category.

f. Candidate belonging to other state and completely studied there (Other State) and whose
parents belong to other state and residing are not eligible for admission. He / She cannot be
considered even as Non- Local (NL) candidate to Telangana State for admission and ratification
willnot done for such cases even though the admission is done to the candidate by violating the

guidelines issued.

g. Further, the candidates admitted during institutional spot admissions are informed that
their spot admissions are subject to ratification by the Convenor, TSLAWCET & PGLCET-
2023 Admissions. In case of a particular candidate is not ratified for certain technical
reasons, he / she has to forego the admission.

D. Certificates to be Produced:
a. TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET- 2023 Rank Card.
b. SSC Marks Memo Original.
c. Intermediate or its equivalent Marks Memo Original.
d. Degree or its equivalent Marks Memo Original.
e. Study Certificates Originals.
f. Transfer certificate (TC).
g. Caste Certificate, if applicable.
h. Residence Certificate, if applicable.
E. Processing Fee Details
The candidates have to pay the following non-refundable Processing Fee Rs. 800.00 (Rupees:
Eight Hundred only) and Rs. 500.00 (Rupees: Five Hundred only) in case of (SC/ST Candidates)
towards Registration cum Verification process which has to be paid through college online spot
