Hello everybody. My name is Huy. Today, I will talk about wildfires.

We know that forests are

one of the most important resources on our Earth. But nowadays, The number of trees in the
forest has decreased due to forest fires. So what is the cause and solution to this problem,
we will find out now. First, What are wildfires? A wildfire is an uncontrolled fire caused by
nature or human activities in a forest or rural area. There are three factors that cause
wildfires: oxygen, fuel, and high temperature. Wildfires often occur in hot and dry climates.
So why do forest fires happen? Firstly, it is because of global warming, climate change has
become more dramatic. Climate change causes high temperatures, droughts and strong
winds in the summer. The dry season is long, so forest fires are happening more and more
and recently on a larger scale. Climate change leads to higher temperatures and heat waves
that reduce precipitation due to faster evaporation. Soil gets hotter quickly, so water
evaporates faster from the soil. The air takes moisture from the soil, the soil is too dry to be
drought. Dry vegetation easily becomes fuel and leads to forest fires. Climate change is one
of the causes of the increase in forest fires, but forest fires are caused by nature and human
activities. Human activity is the main cause. More than 80% of forest fires are caused by
careless or intentional actions of people, for example, holding a barbecue in the forest,
burning cigarettes, setting off fireworks, arson, burning debris, bonfires... These activities
ignite a small fire and then the tree or grass catches fire and turns into a large fire.
Sometimes both an accident and a human action happen at the same time, such as an
animal touching an electric pole and sparking them, or some falling tree branches touching
electronic objects and sparking them. sparks out. So, what is the solution to effectively
reduce wildfires? The first is to take actions to reduce the trigger of fires: Clean up dead
branches, rotting plants, check the temperature range daily for appropriate notifications. Next
is to set out rules for people or tourists if they want to enter the forest: No smoking, no
burning or creating fire... However, the measures will be useless if people don't mean it.
awareness in forest protection. It can be said that this is a decisive factor for the ability to
reduce forest fires. We will start with measures such as propagating regulations on forest fire
protection and mitigation, then we can proceed with penalties according to regulations...
Although we can't mention all the mitigation measures. forest fires but I think those are
measures that we can do easily, regularly and still bring positive effects. through which we
can conserve this incredibly valuable resource
