A symbate is a strange automaton with a baroque collection of metallic segments instead


of obvious limbs. It manipulates matter to burrow or fly through the air, or for reasons
unknown, scuttle along on the ground.
Symbates are remote avatars of Arcerill, a being of immense size that floats in the void in Moonlike in its pocked
Earth’s vicinity, though it sometimes goes on excursions to other, unknown places. After a surface and shape,
period of activity lasting from months to years, each symbate returns to Arcerill. But prior Arcerill is much smaller
than the actual moon,

ground, city structures, or creatures. The
PCs find such a trail and can decide whether
to trace it to whatever created it.
