Personnels from Bureau of Fire Protection discussed the most important things in preventing disasters
like fire. One of the things they discussed is the FIRE TRIANGLE. The fire triangle is a simple model for
understanding the necessary ingredients for most fires. how to prevent fire and what to do if there are
disaster like fire. They said that there are three elements that a fire needs. The heat, oxygen, and fuel,
and that’s the fire triangle. Without heat, oxygen, and fuel, a fire will not start or spread. One key
strategy to prevent fire is to remove one or more of heat, oxygen, or fuel. They also discussed the
COOLING METHOD, SMOLDERING METHOD AND STARVATION METHOD. Water is the most common
method of cooling a fire, and is typically used to fight solid fuel fires. The Cooling Method process
depends on cooling the fuel to a point where it does not produce sufficient vapour to burn. The
Smoldering Method are burning the solid rather than gas phase, are characterized by longer burning
periods and lower temperatures, heat release and spread rates than flaming fires. Starvation Method is
the process of depriving the fire of fuel or limiting fuel by removing the fire from the mass of
combustible materials. They also show how to use the FIRE EXTINGUISHER so that everyone will know
how to use it in time of disaster like fire.

The most important thing that happen that day are Attending that event of preventing fires because it
can provide valuable information on how to keep yourself and your community safe from fire hazards.
Here are some important matters that you may want to pay attention to during the event. First,
Understanding the causes of fires because the first step to prevent fires is to understand what causes
them. Second, The Emergency preparedness. BFP gave their contact number to call when disasters are
happening. But overall, attending an event like this can provide valuable information and resources to
help us stay safe and prevent fires in our community.
