Activity 1.
The teacher checks the SS homework and then shows them some objects in the classroom and
elicits the words for each object
What is this? This is a rubber.
What colour is it?
It’s pink.
Activity 2.
The T uses total physical response method. She gives some commands and the Ss do the
actions. Game: Simon says!
Pick up a pencil!
Put the pencil down!
Put the pencil in your pencilcase!
Open your notebook!
Close your book!
Give me a pen, please.

Activity 3
The T introduces RIGHT, LEFT, HERE, THERE. She places some objects and then asks questions.
Where is the pencil?
It’s here on the left.
Where is the notebook?
It’s there on the right.

Activity 4
The T plays a classroom song. The Ss listen, repeat and clap their hands.
