Geography
Lakes: Windermere- It is the largest lake in England by length, The lake is about 18 km
lenght, her maximum depth is 64 metres
Rivers: Thames- The Thames is flowing through Southern England that connects London to
North sea it is 346 km long. Severn, Trent, Wye, Ouse, Avon
Mountains: Pennines- The Pennines, known as the "backbone of England", are the
oldest range of mountains in the country, originating from the end of the Paleozoic
Era around 300 million years ago
Highest peak: The highest point in England is Scafell Pike (978 m) in the lake District
he is high 978 metres
Poplation: The population in 2021 was 56 million people and now there are 60 million people
Currency: GBP is the abbreviation for the British pound sterling

Personalities: William Shakespeare- arguably the most famous writer in the world.

Seven Sisters- is a group of chalk cliffs that are part of the South Downs National Park. It is

located on the south coast of England in the county of East Sussex, between the towns of

Seaford and Eastbourne.

Windsor Castle- is a royal residence in Windsor in the English county of Berkshire, just 30

kilometers from London It is strongly associated with the English and subsequently the

British royal family.


Tower bridge- is a Grade I listed combined bascule and suspension bridge in London, built
between 1886 and 1894
Buckingham Palace- is a royal residence in London and the administrative headquarters of
the monarch of the United Kingdom. Located in the City of Westminster
