Omoju John is applying for a master's degree in Molecular Medicine at the recipient university. As an undergraduate, he became interested in Molecular Medicine and learned that many diseases have genetic roots and could be cured through molecular-level research. After graduating with a degree in Medical Laboratory Science and completing internships, he now wants to pursue his keen interest in Molecular Medicine through a master's program to gain research skills and help find cures for diseases like cancer and HIV through molecular-level study.

My name is Omoju John, I am a graduate of Medical Laboratory Science from
Afe Babalola University in Ekiti, Nigeria. I want to follow-up with a master degree in Molecular Medicine. While as an undergraduate my mind was caught by the field of Molecular Medicine. I learnt that basically almost all diseases are gene related and that the cure to most disease can be found if scientist decided to go molecular. Once my mind was set, I started reading up on molecular genetics. After graduation I did my internship at State Hospital Ilaro, ogun state Nigeria. I also did my youth service corps at federal polytechnic offa medical centre. The past two years have being a good experience for me, cause It was during those times I was able to improve on some of my laboratory skill. My keen interest is in the field of moleculer medicine, this I want to pursue by applying for my masters at your prestigious university, in which I hope that my request would be granted. I want to become a molecular medical scientist as this would enable me to provide some answers to some of unanswered medical problems, for instance if we are ever going to find a cure for cancer and HIV, scientists will have to go Molecular. After graduation, I would pursue my Phd in Molecular Medicine as this would add to my research skills for the detection and cure for this various diseases.
