Care giver required to maintain personal hygiene, self-appearance and use safety gears to offer
high standards service to the client

Personal Hygiene
Personal hygiene is maintaining cleanliness and grooming of the external body

 Body needs right maintenance

 Balance diet

 Exercise

 Practice relaxation technique – Meditation, Yoga etc.

 Doctor visits if necessary.

 Adequate rest and sleep.

Personal Appearance
 Proper uniform or dress.

 Perfumes, colognes, and body odor should be avoided.

 Hair – avoid falling over the shoulders.

 Beard – Must be short, trimmed neatly and clean.

 No false fingernails.

 Visible tattoos are not permitted.

 Jewelry with restriction.

 Wrist watches may be worn.

What is caregiver’s stress?


“Stress is a state of physical, mental or emotional strain or tension due to struggling to cope
with overloaded demands”.

 Stress is a normal part of a fife.

 Even positive life changes produce stress.
