Power to the CDSS is controlled from an On-Off pushbutton switch labeled CDSS" located on the Overhead Panel. When selecting the system off, the top half of the switch illuminates “OFF” in white. When. selecting the system on, the “OFF” light extinguishes, and the switch is not illuminated. If a system fault exists, “FAULT” illuminates in amber on the bottom half of the switch. Viewing camera selection is performed by touching the monitor screen to activate a selection menu and then touching the screen icon corresponding to the desired camera, Monitor screen display is turned on by touching the screen where there is no icon. An automatic feature exists where a time, in seconds, can be input and the camera view will automatically shift between cameras. Monitor brightness control is affected by repeatedly touching the desired brightness control icon on the screen. Additionally, there is a optional Cabin Ready which allows the cabin crew to indicate to the cockpit that the cabin has been prepared for takeoff or landing. The “Cabin Ready” switch, located adjacent to the cabin attendant panel at door 1L, illuminates green when pressed, This sends a signal to the Pilots CDSS Monitors, which then annunciate “CABIN READY. (C) One system power On-Off switch in the overhead panel, ( ( (D) One System Control Unit located in flight compartment right ceiling panel above the R1 door. (E) One 4 Amp circuit breaker labeled "CDSS" located on the 122VU circuit breaker panel, ( F) For configurations 001-003 and 004 (if equipped), One “Cabin Ready” or “Cabin Secure” switch located adjacent to the cabin attendant panel at door 1L. ON (switch dark), (see Figure -1 below). To turn off the CDSS, press and release the "CDSS" switch on the overhead panel, OFF (white illumination) will be displayed. If a fault condition exists, the switch will illuminate "FAULT" (amber illumination). A | JANUARY 20, 2006 | AIRPLANE FLIGHT MANUAL TURNING ON THE MONITOR: To turn on power to the CDSS, press and release the “CDSS” switch and touch the screen ‘once, in any area, The monitor will turn on, and the following menu will show on the screen: As default, camera 1 (COC) will be selected until another camera is selected, or until the automatic mode switches to another camera NOTE: Other customer options for the labeling of the icons are available, such as CD, Il, and 4R. These would indicate the camera view locations of the Cockpit Door, 1 Left door and 1 Right door, respectively. SELECTING A CAMERA To select a camera view, touch the screen over the icon showing the camera view position that is the number of the camera that you would like to see. BRIGHTNESS CONTROL DIRECT ACCESS: To change the brightness of the picture, press the PLUS “+” or MINUS *- icon, until the picture brightness level you desire is achieved. Ben a POWER SAVING MODE: The Power Saving Mode is a factory default setting that will turn off the monitor backlight when there is no activity for a pre-set amount of time. This helps increase MTBF, as well as extends the lifetime of the monitor backlight. The Power Saving Mode is automatically disabled if, in case of an emergency, the common schematic display is displayed, or can be manually disabled when the screen is touched, EFFECTIVITY CODE | oot | Cockpit Door Surveillance System Airworks | 5.00.00 P 06. CAMERAS AND SWITCHER There are two modes in which system switcher can work: AUTOMATIC and MANUAL. Selecting the switcher mode: Be Be Touch the MENU icon, The On Screen Display Menu will change as shown below. ee Touch the SWITCHER icon. The On Screen Display Menu will change as shown below: From the menus shown above, you can choose "AUTO" or “MANUAL” Selecting auto mode: 04 & ae — i Select how long, in seconds, you want each camera to remain on the screen by using the "+" plus or “-" minus buttons. The example below shows that each camera will remain in the screen for four seconds. NOTE: Selecting values less than 5 seconds may cause the screen to flicker during camera view switching. To exit the AUTO mode, touch the MENU icon to return to switcher/picture menu. The following On Screen Display will appear. Touch the SWITCHER icon and select the MANUAL icon. ce The following menu will show on the screen: an EEE Touch the number for the camera you want to see. Selecting manual: NOTE: This is the default menu that will always be displayed after initial power has been applied to the system. Press “SET” to keep the changes to the setting you have made. Press “RESET” to reset the setting to the factory default settings. (Cabin Ready) 5.00.00 P 10 REV.A JANUARY 20, 2006 ‘A flight attendant can press the “CABIN READY” switch to let the pilot know that the cabin and the passengers are ready for take-off or landing. When pressed, the Cabin Ready switch illuminates in green “CABIN READY” and sends a signal to the CDSS monitor(s), which will then display in bold green letters “CABIN READY” on the LCD screen(s). The Pilot or Co-Pilot acknowledges the signal by touching the LCD screen, Touching a monitor screen cancels the annunciation on the monitor(s) and extinguishes the illuminated Cabin Ready switch at the Flight Attendant Compartment, Forward Attendants Station Flight Attendants check cabin and advise flight crew when completed. "| CABIN READY’ switch illuminates when pressed by the cabin crew to advise the flight crew that the cabin is ready. | Notes: CABIN READY 1- On dual monitor installations - the monitor | messages must be co-ordinated (le, they must always have the same message / icon displayed on each monitor). || 2- Either monitor can cancel the annunciation on | the monitor in response to a fight crew input. (Cabin Ready) A flight attendant can press the “CABIN READY” switch to let the pilot know that the cabin and the passengers are ready for take-off or landing, When pressed, the Cabin Ready switch illuminates in green “CABIN READY” and sends a signal to the CDSS monitor(s), which will then display in bold green letters “CABIN READY” on the LCD screen(s). The Pilot or Co-Pilot acknowledges the signal by touching the LCD screen. Touching a monitor screen cancels the annunciation on the monitor(s) and extinguishes the illuminated Cabin Ready switch at the Flight Attendant Compartment. This camera's view will be displayed until another camera is selected. To exit the automatic switcher mode, touch the “MENU icon to return to the switcher/picture menu.
