 ACT I

Scene 1

SETTING: Oslob Heritage Park has many benches and street food,
vendors.

AT RISE: They said:

It's nice to have a best friend. someone protects you. someone will
make you happy. But are you ready to bet on friendship? for the love
you desire?

One day… Abegail saw Raffy with his friends. He found out that his
best friends joined the fraternity. He ran to his best friend
while pulling into his bag.

ABEGAIL
Why did you join the fraternity?

RAFFY
I just don't want anything.

ABEGAIL
Do you know that's dangerous?
RAFFY
I know what I let in.

(After that day, she doesn't see him at school anymore. Raffy
doesn't even text anymore. ABEGAIL went to his house, but she
couldn't reach him)

ABEGAIL
I miss my best friend. I miss Raffy, the man I secretly love...

Scene 2

SETTING: At Cebu Normal University is one of the leading States

and Colleges in the country and considers Teachers' Education and
its flagship program. This is the University where Abegail and
Raffy study.

AT RISE: Raffy rarely attends their school. Abegail noticed

that every time they met at school, her friend seemed to be
avoiding her.

ABEGAIL
What's going on with you Raffy?

RAFFY
nothing...

ABEGAIL
There is something you are not telling me

RAFFY
I have nothing to say...

ABEGAIL
What's wrong? Why are you always absent? Why do you always
avoid me? Why didn't you reply to my text?

(he suddenly left me. I chased after him)

ABEGAIL
Raffy, what really happened to you?

(he faced me and spoke)

RAFFY
Why are you informing me? What are you to me?

(Abegail was silent and shocked at what Raffy said to her.

Scene 3
Setting: Abegail’s house
At rise: Her house is big and you can really tell that her families are
well off. Abegail was sitting on the sofa while doing her school
activities. Their sofas are furniture made and have a soft seats.

( Two weeks later she received some news. Raffy is said to be

in the hospital in a serious condition. She called Raffy’s
mother.

ABEGAIL
Hello Tita?
ROMINA
Hello Abegail
ABEGAIL
Where was Raffy taken to the hospital? I
will go there.

ROMINA

We’re at Cebu North General Hospital

Abegail. Hurry up because Raffy is
slowly getting weaker.

ABEGAIL

I’m coming Tita, please tell him to wait

for me. I have something to tell her.

( she off the call, she immediately rushed to the hospital)

SETTING: At Cebu North General Hospital

At rise: This hospital is highly equipped with suitable machines and

employees aimed to serve and give their best to their clients.

ROMINA

Abegail? Raffy is gone, he can't take it anymore.

ABEGAIL

No! that’s not true Tita Romina

(her heart almost died. She feels like she doesn't want to live anymore)
ABEGAIL

I feel different..:(

I LOVE him but it's too late...

(Romina hugged and comfort her)

ROMINA

Raffy has had cancer for a long time, he just doesn't want to tell
you because he doesn't want to worry about you. Please
forgive me if I didn't tell you right away.

Abegail: Why is that, Tita? I can bear all my hardships, we can

only get along with the hardships and the suffering. I know I don't
have the right to know his life but I already love your son, Mom. I
just can't say because he has always avoided me.

Raffy's mother: Do you know that? It also hurts me as a mother to

lose a son like him.

Abegail: I know that aunt, it's really painful to lose the

most important person in your life.

(Romina handed her Raffy's cell phone)

Romina: Abegail, this is the last message that Raffy was

supposed to send you.

(Abegail read it..)

Sorry, Abegail If I didn't pay attention to you for a few days, I just
did so you wouldn't worry about me. If you know about my condition,
you will be able to neglect yourself as well as your studies.
That's why I chose to go with my friends so that I can forget the
happy days I spent with you. Always take care of yourself, right?
Don't let yourself down, and don't worry, I'm just here to guide
you. Goodbye, my dear Abegail.

(Abegail’s tears flowed after she read that message from

him.)

ABEGAIL

If only I had known that this is what you were going through in
life, I would have sympathized with you until your final
destination. Raf is your trick, you don't even wait for me so that
I can hug you and tell you that I love you very much. But it's too
late, I promise you that I will make all our dreams come true.

ROMINA

🙁
We don't hold a person's life, even if it hurts our hearts, but we have
to accept that he is gone. My dear son

JULIET AND ASHLEY

We are always here for you. We will always sympathize with you, we
will not leave you as long as you don't lose hope that everything
will be okay.
