PULAU LANGKAWI
The Jewel of Kedah
Underwater World, Pantai Cenang
Opens daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is Malaysia's largest aquarium with 200
different types of marine and freshwater animals. The rainforest walk is equally
interesting.
Oriental village, Pantai Kok
This is an open-air mall which includes the 'Panorama Langkawi'. This is a cable car that
takes visitors on a 20-minute ride up Gunung Mat Chinchang which stands at 780
metres. Take in the beautiful view along the way and when on top, try the Skybridge.
This is a suspension bridge above the treetops. Other attractions at the village include
the 'Langkawi Elephant Adventures' for rides on an elephant and the gallery called
'Tiger, Tiger' which houses a tiger exhibition.
Laman Padi, Pantai Cenang
The rice garden is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Try your hand at planting
paddy. There is also a museum about paddy farming, a restaurant and a spa.
Air Hangat.Tanjung Rhu
There is a village here which is well-known for its hot springs. Open from 8 a.m. to 6
p.m., visitors can relax and soak their feet in the hot springs for free.
Langkawi Crocodile Farm,Teluk Datai
The farm is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There are stunt shows and feeding time to allow
you a close look at the reptiles.
