The Cook role is integral in the execution of our Food offer across the different types • Ability to work independently and without supervision

Key Responsibilities: • Ability to fulfil the inherent requirements of the role (see below)
Customer Service: Desired Skills • Food preparation and customer service experience
• Support the CSR/Barista as required in providing exceptional customer service to & Experience • Cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) transaction processing
every customer which includes completing sale transactions using POS
• Promote loyalty program and promotions to customers Education / Training • Year 10 or equivalent secondary school education (desired)
Safety:
• Maintain awareness of and ability to undertake emergency procedures at any time
Key Challenges & Complexities of Role

• Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
• Fast paced environment and high number of tasks/activities required to be completed each shift in
Cleaning:

• Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils\
• May be required to provide customer service and support to difficult customers
• Clean and replace deep fryer oil
• Need to remain aware of forecourt and shop customers including responding quickly to safety hazards
• Complete cleaning activities including sweeping, mopping, spray/wiping, dusting,
and incidents

• Christmas blackout period: Annual leave not permitted December – end 1st week January
Food Preparation:
• Prepare ingredients for cooking including cutting/slicing Inherent Requirements
• Cook food products using Merry Chef oven and other appliances including deep
fryers, stove tops and grills • Competency in English (reading , writing and speaking)
• Prepare sandwiches and bread products including packaging and storage • Ability to complete emergency activities
• Prepare coffees using barista equipment as required • Ability to conduct all activities in accordance with communicated safe work practices and operational
• Complete temperature checks – food and equipment procedures
• Prepare and maintain food labels with accurate product and expiry information • Complete cleaning activities to maintain a clean work area
• Conduct and record food equipment temperature checks • Ability to replenish and move stock between areas using trolley where required and in accordance with
