Lesson 6: THOSE WHO CAN SEE WHAT OTHERS CAN’T. . .

INTRODUCTION:

The watchman held an important job in the time of great maritime navigations. He was placed at the top of the
boat, located on the upper part of the mast, from where he could see solid ground far from away, as well as icebergs,
storms and even pirates. He would be also able to alert other sailors that could see what the watchman could.

Over time, many tragedies were avoided thanks to the exceptional job of observation by the watchmen.
Furthermore, many other catastrophes could have been avoided if the message of danger had been issued in time. On the
fourteenth of April in 1912, one collided with the Titanic had been identified in time. He who sees what others do not see
has a duty to warm them of the danger.

A prophet is a person who has this responsibility. In the course of history, many have been chosen by God to
listen to his messages and deliver them in order to provide a warning to others about their salvation.

But who were these prophets? What were their messages? Were those messages lost, or are they still available to
us?

The prophet is a messenger who receives information directly from God [Amos 3:7] and should share it with the rest

The second characteristics of the true church is that they will have prophets among their members who fulfill
all the biblical requirements to be identified as true messengers of God.

? DID YOU KNOW…

Even today there are still many people who are considered prophets. However, they don’t pass all the biblical
tests to be identified as the true prophet. Their prophecies won’t come to pass, their life doesn’t reflect the will of God,
and worst of all, they don’t have Jesus as their personal Savior.
