DEVELOPMENT OF RESEARCH INSTRUMENT

The research instrument will be a self-administered questionnaire designed to

assess the food safety knowledge of street food vendors in Taguig City. It will adhere

to quantitative research principles, focusing on measurable and statistically analyzable

data. A mix of closed-ended (multiple choice, true/false, Likert scale) and open-

ended questions will be used for flexibility and depth of data collection. Closed-ended

questions will facilitate efficient data analysis, while open-ended questions will allow

vendors to elaborate on their knowledge and practices. Questions will be clear,

concise, and unambiguous to avoid misinterpretations. The questionnaire will be

pilot-tested with a small group of street food vendors before the main study to ensure

clarity, relevance, and feasibility of administration. Feedback from the pilot test will

be used to refine the questionnaire before widespread distribution.
