Abstract
This was a basic course in which we learnt basic things about what
is CAD and then about the particular software AutoCAD.

In the first week we learnt how to use drawing tools like line,
cricle, arc, etcc.. In AutoCAD. We also learnt how to set units,
modify the basic drawings and shapes we learnt to draw. In the
second week we started with some little bit complex 2D drawings
which we created with the help of all the knowledge we gathered in
first week and we were good to go for making 2D plans. In the
third week we were all set to start with 3D. We learnt how to
convert or directly make 3D designs in AutoCAD and in fourth
week we all what we did was we drafted both 2D and 3D designs of
objects with proper dimensions.

CONCLUSION
Nowadays in mechanical engineering CAD is a very
important part as you can make a design and see how it
will work in real world without actually making any
machine or object. It can help to save a lot of money and
time as even without making the actual product we can
see if it will work or not or what are the problems in given
design so it is a very important part of machine
designing in today’s world.
In this course of 4 weeks we learnt a lot of things about
AutoCAD and now we are capable enough to draft
designs in AutoCAD and we are still learning. The
overall course was good and we are looking forward to
learn more about it.
