NAME OF ASSIGNMENT

Preventing minors from illicit drug abuse through identifying the risk factors and their mental
health condition: Bangladesh perspective

OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSIGNMENT

Broad Objective:

to identify underlying risk factors why children are being addicted by illicit drug use as well as
identifying their mental health conditions by which their being attracted to be introduced with
drug

Specific Objectives:

 Providing an overview of the current status of drug abuse among minors including their
socio-demographic information;

 Identifying risk factors of drug addiction and drug abuse among minors and major
challenges to prevent such abuses;

 Find out consequence of minors' drug addiction in their family and society;

 Analysis of strategic priorities of GO-NGOs to prevent minors' drug abuse based on the
need and challenges indentified by them.

 Provide recommendation on role of Department of Narcotics Control to prevent


minors' drug abuses.

 Aware the adolescent and youth about the risk of using drug.
