What is conflict?

Conflict is a long-term arguement between 2 or more sides, which shows


their attitude to the same, mainly very serious situation. Time after time,
each part demonstrates its rightness/power in this issue using
discussions, prooves or examples which have been found in the real life.

1. COMPETING STYLE: THE SHARK

"I take charge".


"I might make it right".

· Positives:
This style is used when something needs to be decided
quickly.
· Negatives:

Using it too often will cause break off in the relationships.

2. COLLABORATING STYLE: THE OWL


"We both win".
"Two heads are better than one"
· Positives:
This style wants something that satisfies all sides.
Get throughts and feelings out, as well as dealing with them are
important so thay don't cause problems later.

· Negatives:
Time consuming.
It will be not worth if it hasn't been a big issue to you.

3. COMPROMISING STYLE: THE FOX


"We meet half-way."
"Let's split the difference".

· Positives:
A decision needs to be decided in a timely manner and both sides
refuse something.

· Negatives:
This style can also be time consuming to find a solution that pleases
everyone.

4. ACCOMODATING STYLE: THE TEDDY BEAR

"I give in."


"I don't care that much; let it have its own way."
· Positives:
You care more about the other person than the issue itself.

· Negatives:
If it happens too often, you may resent not being to give your opinion.
5. AVOIDING STYLE: THE TURTLE

"I leave."
"I'd rather not deal with it now."

· Positives:
This style that gives you away from dangerous situations.
It allows you to cool down if emotions are high.
· Negatives:
Do not give your opinion when it's something that matters to you.
In case you don't deal with any conflict.
