We confess that we remain captive to doubt and fear, and our hope for the future can grow dim. Forgive us when our longing for justice is overcome by cynicism and distrust. Forgive our imaginations that refuse inspiration. Forgive our easy answers to the hard questions of our lives. Forgive our lingering doubt that wonders where you are. Come, Spirit of God, strengthen our resolve. Inspire our speech, our action, our vision, our trust. Give us eyes to see the unfolding of your will and ears to hear the voices of your grace. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our risen Lord. Amen. Individual Confessions (Pray silently) The Declaration of Pardon Minister: Friends, believe the good news. 200 Anniversary of New Hope Church Plans are now being made to celebrate the bi-centennial of your church in 2012 (New Hope is first mentioned as an organized church in Presbytery records in 1812, though it can be traced as an unnamed family of God coming from N. Carolina as early as 1799). This is going to be a major event and celebration. We are forming a committee to start planning and we want anyone who is interested to take part. If you are interested in providing or receiving care through the Stephen Ministry program at New Hope, please contact the pastor through the Church office at (615) 4497020 and request that a Stephen minister contact you. All men in the church are invited to the Community Mens Breakfast and Bible Study, which meets here at the church every Tuesday morning from 6:00 7:00. Ministries/Activities within Our Church

Childrens Christmas Play. Ben will be producing this years play again and needs a LOT of volunteers to make this a success. There are pictures on our website of previous years plays. Ben will announce when play practices are scheduled. Christmas is only 63 days away! New Hope Choir Led by Ben, the New Hope choir is more than just a choir. It is a small group that meets on Sunday evenings to, yes, practice some songs, but also to fellowship, express concerns, reflect on a devotional together and pray for one another. We are blessed by hearing the choir, and those in the choir are blessed to be in it together. Join the choir and find out why! They meet every Sunday evening at 6:00. Dont forget about our Food Pantry here at New Hope. We now need to restock. Bring what you can donate next Sunday and lets keep this important ministry available. Thanks to those of you who have begun helping us re-stock by bringing items. Stephen Ministry Got a burden? New Hope people dont have to carry that burden alone.
