Taking the Oxford Placement Test at home is easy!
Just follow these steps.

Step 1: Check your equipment

Step 2: Join the call
• To take your test online, make sure you are in a quiet room on
your own.

• Join the call that your test organisation set up.

Your teacher will have invited you to a video call/meeting. Join this
video call at the correct time and turn on your webcam.

• Wait for instructions from your teacher or invigilator.

Step 3: Sign in

When your teacher or invigilator asks, sign in using the information that
was sent to you by email.

Step 4: Complete your details

Complete or confirm your details, then click ‘save’.

Step 5: Select your test

Click on ‘Oxford Online Placement Test’.

Step 6: Choose your starting level

Choose the starting level you want, then click ‘next’.


(The starting level you choose will not affect your final test score)

Step 7: Take the test

The test will open in a new window. Answer all the questions in the
time shown on the test screen. Good luck!

When you have finished, click the ‘Close this window’ button at the
bottom of the screen. Then leave the call quietly and wait to hear
from your teacher or test administrator.
