competitor. Retailers expect a 40% margin and wholesaler want 30% margin based on their
respective selling prices.

a) Draw the network and Calculate the retailer’s cost / wholesaler’s price

b) Calculate the wholesaler’s cost/ company’s price

Question 6: [ 8 Marks]
Consider the market for a certain product. When the price of the product was $100 per unit;
the quantities sold were 1200 units. The manager decided to raise the price to be $200. You are
in a contradiction with the manager as you are an expert and near the market. You told him
that in this case I expect that the quantities that expected to be sold will be 400 units and we
have to make total revenue test to decide how we could increase the price in order to get
maximum revenue.
a) Determine the relationship between the price and quatity according to the expectation of the
manger
b) Calculate the price elasticity of demand at each pair(p,q) and mention if it is elastic or inelastic.
c) Help the manager by drawing a total revenue test.
d) Calculate the maximum revenue and what are the price you suggest in this case and what is the
