{p8rE, DHiSONOF LEGATPICITY) i RELEASED | Republic of the Pbilippines Department of Education Region V- Bicol ‘SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE OF LEGAZPI CITY Division MEMORANDUM No. 203 58. 2023. ‘TRAINING WORKSHOP ON CRISIS MANAGEMENT IN SCHOOL To: Assistant Schools Division Superintendent OIC-Chief Education Supervisors Public Schools District Supervisors Elementary and Secondary Schoolheads Registered Guidance Counselors Guidance Designates All Others Concerned 1. __ Relative to the Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 11036 otherwise known as the Mental Health Law, Section 25 stipulates that “Educational institutions such as schools, colleges, universities, and technical schools shall develop policies and programs for students, educators, and other employees designed to raise awareness on mental health issues, identify and provide support services for individuals at risk, and facilitate access, including referral mechanisms of individual with mental health conditions to treatment and psychosocial support. 2. Thus, the Department tries to address the pressing issues concerning the mental health of learners, most especially during this crisis by issuing guidelines on the conduct of counseling and referral mechanisms in all schools. 3. __ In support to this salient program, the Schools Division Office of Legazpi City shall implement the same program and will conduct a training workshop on crisis management for schools on June 1-2, 2023, at a venue to be announced. 4. The participants to this activity are the Registered Guidance Counselors, Guidance Designates in Elementary, Junior and Senior High Schools. 5. _ There will be an orientation meeting of the Division Training Team, Technical Working Group, and Committee members on May 23, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at the Library Hub, SDO Legazpi City, Rawis, Legazpi City. 6.
