WINTER HOLIDAYS HOME WORK

CLASS – V
SESSION: 2023-24

“The street cars are like frosted cakes,

All covered up with cold snowflakes.
The horses’ hoofs scrunch on the street,
Their eyelashes are white with sleet.
And everywhere the people go with faces
TICKLED by the snow”
Dear Parents
As our kids are excited for the coming winter break. It’s time to utilize these holidays
in enhancing their oratory and writing skills and to prepare them for the next academic
session. To achieve this, students should simply continue to read each day over the
holidays which will keep their English skills and vocabulary active. Daily maths
practice will also keep their number facts memorized and simmering.

At the same time, children need to enjoy their holidays: play, be active, see new things
and have fun so there is lot to talk about when they return to school! Remember to take
photos and keep a diary of exciting events or places you have visited.
The Holidays Homework has been especially designed to strengthen the concepts taken
up for the on- going themes and to ensure the maximum participation to the child’s
developmental plan that will help to enrich vocabulary, enhance creativity and thinking
skills. The children should be guided to follow the time schedule for the optimum
utilization of winter break. You are requested to guide and help them in doing their
holidays homework. Encourage them to converse in English at home. Share some moral
stories or your experiences with your kids.
After the winter vacations, the school will be ready to welcome them back all
rejuvenated and invigorated.
Dear Students
Here are some ways to make your holidays both fun and educational:
