    Our Permanent Magnet Motors, or ‘Off-the-Shelf’ electric motors


    as we call them, are used in our own hybrid vehicle as well as
    being supplied to a rapidly increasing range of customers across
    the ‘Off-Highway’, automotive and industrial market with
    applications including electric cars, electric boats, trains, electric
    quad bikes, scooters and hybrid vans.

    Our Permanent Magnet Motors offer the lowest Cost per kW


    range of Permanent Magnet electric motors available on the
    market. We know this because we started life as a customer for
    electric motors and couldn’t find what we were looking for so
    ended up developing in order to deliver the required Price,
    Performance & Durability balance.

    Ashwoods manufacture electric motors at an automotive Tier 1


    manufacturing facility in the UK. The facility has all the Quality
    accreditations expected of a high end automotive manufacturing
    operation:

    TS16949; QS 9000; ISO 9002; ISO 14001; Ford Q1

    Our motors are being assembled in less than 45 minutes which


    helps contribute toward their low cost characteristics.

    The current motor manufacturing cell has capacity for more than
    50,000 units per annum but the facility has plenty of room for
    expansion when demand exceeds this.

    The manufacturing process for the ‘Off-the-shelf’ motors is


    licensable to high volume customers.
