DES1A Deliverables

1. Taking Measures

• 1 x A2 Documenting your dimension drawings at 1:10 and accompanying photographs

• 1 x A2 of your final image or set of images which describe the size of your room through
“taking measures”

2. Capturing your room as a landscape

• 1 x A2 individual ‘landscape’ image(s)

• 1x A2 group images and definitions

3. Drawing a chair

• 1 x A2 individual orthographic drawings at scale 1:10: plan, elevation and section.

• 1 x A2 group research

4. Light and time

• 2 x A2 individual light and time drawings, observations and photographs which incorporate key
fragments from your group text and a short paragraph of your own analysis of the text

5. Drawing a Room

• 1 x A2 individual orthographic drawings (plan, section, elevations) of your room at scale 1:10.

6. Room With A View

• 1 x A2 Documenting your survey sketches and your relationship to the window of your room.
• 1:20 Model of your bedroom with some 1:20 props.

7. Expanding the Frame (minimum-extra work encouraged!) All A2.

• Client research including a flat lay drawing

• Sketch models (3 minimum) demonstrating concept development
• References/ precedents
• Design development work (sketches, diagrams etc)
• 1:20 drawings on A2 tracing paper (plan, section, elevation) showing your proposal in various
uses. Drawing’s must all be hand-drawn and include context.
• 1:20 Model of your bedroom with your proposed extension (photographed)
• 1 Collage describing the internal atmosphere of your proposal
