recreational needs. A wide range of
services and resources are available
through our five libraries and online
at libraries.blacktown.nsw.gov.au
Library technology services
• free access to internet and free Wi-Fi
• free use of computers with standard software
including Microsoft Office
• printing and scanning. Printing is fee-based
and the library supplies all printer paper.
There is no charge to use the scanners

• you need a valid library membership card with
no restrictions to access library technology.
Safety on the internet
Please be aware that internet transactions and
communications are vulnerable to unauthorised
use. You should also be aware of issues such
as identity theft, cyber bullying, infringement
of privacy and exposure to Internet sites with
offensive or illegal content.
Blacktown City Libraries support safe use of the
internet and promote use of guides to internet
safety, e.g. www.cybersmart.gov.au. We promote
the free flow of information and ideas in the
interests of a thriving culture, economy and
democracy and so do not filter internet sites.
When using websites that require you to log in,
please remember to sign out when you have
finished. Delete any files that you save to the
hard drive as they can be accessed by anyone.
