Candi Borobudur

Borobudur temple is a historical place. This temple is usually called the Buddhist Temple, the
splendor and beauty of this Borobudur Temple makes many people amazed.
Borobudur temple has a shape that looks like a pyramid if you look at it at a glance. This
temple has many reliefs and stupas on three levels of the building. Each level of Borobudur
Temple has its own name and meaning.
The first level or commonly called kamadhatu has 160 reliefs. All the reliefs tell the story of
sin or karmawibhangga.
The second level or rupadhatu, has 1300 reliefs, in addition to reliefs there are also 432 small
Buddha statues. Then, there are 4 terraces that form a rotating hallway
The Buddha statue in the second level is located in an open niche along the balustrade. This
balustrade separates the second level or rupadhatu, from the third level or commonly called
arupadhatu.
In the third level or the top level of candi borobudur, there are no reliefs on the walls at all.
For the floor, the arupadhatu has a circular floor.
Although there are no reliefs, the third level of candi borobudur has 72 small stupas arranged
in 3 rows. In the center of these three rows is a mother stupa that is the largest in size.
