a) Course Description
This course introduces the student to the theory of communication systems, through the study
of communication models, signals and noise as part of communication in all its forms. Students
will also learn how to deal with noise in communication and noise reduction.
b) Course Objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
Understand principles of signal transmission, filtering and modulation.
Distinguish between different types of noise and transmission systems.
Analyze characteristics of signals and effect of noise in communication systems
