Energy renewable and non-renewable:

Fran Almarcha and Dani Fandos.

Energy sources

● Solar
● Wind
● Hydraulic
● Tidal
● Biomass:
Solar

Solar: Solar energy is that produced by light -photovoltaic energy-

or heat from the sun -solar thermal- for the generation of electricity
or the production of heat. Inexhaustible and renewable, since it
comes from the sun, it is obtained through panels and mirrors.
Wind

Wind:energy is that which is obtained from the force of the wind.

How? Through a wind turbine that transforms the kinetic energy of
air currents into electrical energy
Hydraulic

Hydraulic:These definitions allow us to refer to hydropower, the type of

energy that is produced by the movement of water. Also known as
hydropower, it is obtained from harnessing the kinetic and potential
energy of currents, tides or waterfalls.
Tidal

Tidal energy, also called oceanic or marine energy, is that which is

achieved with the movement of the tides. The energy generated by the
rising and falling tide is harnessed with turbines that, when activated,
move the mechanical assembly of the alternator, thus producing
electrical energy
Biomass

Biomass: also known as bioenergy, it is the energy obtained from the

organic matter that constitutes living beings, their excreta and their
non-living remains. Biomass is characterized by having a low carbon
content, a high oxygen content and volatile compounds.
Disadvantages and advantages of renewable energy

Advantages: Renewable energies are respectful with the environment. Most of

them do not produce CO2 emissions, greenhouse gases or other polluting
emissions into the atmosphere, unlike what happens with fossil or renewable fuels.
With these energies the greenhouse effect is reduced

Disadvantages: But it also has some disadvantages, such as: Some types of
renewable energy cause negative effects on the ecosystem. Not all renewable
energies are 100% green (non-polluting), geothermal energy brings unwanted and
toxic salts and minerals to the surface
Differences:
More economical:

The cheapest energies are renewable and the one that heads the
podium is solar energy, but there is not much difference since nuclear
energy is also very economical.
More clean:

The cleanest energies are renewable but not by much since nuclear is
not far behind but it is also one of the most dangerous, the ones that
lead the top are wind and solar.
More quantity

This is an obvious question since its name indicates that the

renewable is the winner because it is unlimited but the nuclear one is
also almost unlimited.
