In the face of adversity brought on by the global pandemic, our University

remained unwavering in its commitment to academic excellence and quality
assurance. Through an unrelenting pursuit of accreditation and a dedication to
continuous improvement, we have strengthened our ability to fulfill our
primary mission of educating our students. This article sheds light on our
remarkable journey towards excellence.

AACCUP Accreditation: A Testament to Dedication

From a modest ten out of twenty-five accredited academic programs in 2019,
our institution has made remarkable progress, with a resounding twenty-two
programs now accredited by the Accrediting Agency for Chartered Colleges and
Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP). The remaining three programs are
slated for accreditation visits in the last quarter of this year. This achievement
underscores our relentless quest for excellence.

CHED's COPC: Ensuring Adherence to Standards

Our academic programs have not only pursued AACCUP accreditation but have
also sought the coveted Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from the
Commission on Higher Education (CHED). This commitment to full compliance
with policies, standards, and guidelines has resulted in a significant leap from
thirteen programs with COPC in 2019 to a commendable twenty-five in 2022.
Our University has devised a comprehensive work plan to ensure that all
remaining programs achieve COPC status by mid-2024.

ISO 9001:2015 Certification: Elevating Services

The Instruction Department has gone a step further in its quest for excellence
by obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certification. In December 2022, our institution
was awarded the Certificate of Registration for three processes: college program
preparation, syllabi preparation, and curriculum development. This
achievement underscores our commitment to continuous improvement,
adhering to principles that identify areas for enhancement and implementing
corrective actions when challenges arise.
Achievements and Impact
These relentless initiatives have yielded significant results and positively
impacted our institution:
 Enrollment Surge: Enrollment has surged by a remarkable 53.38% from
the academic year 2019-2020 to 2022-2023. To accommodate this
growth, we have diligently hired additional faculty members and
constructed new academic buildings to maintain an ideal student-faculty
ratio.

 Graduation Milestones: Despite a slight dip in graduation figures in

2021 from 735 graduates in 2020, our institution witnessed a
substantial 30% increase in 2023, with a total of 735 graduates.

 TESDA Certification: The efficiency of our faculty members was

validated through an impressive 92.60%, 70.23%, and 100% certified
competent participants in the TESDA National Certification Assessment
Programs for the years 2020, 2021, and 2022, respectively.

 Board Examination Success: Our graduates have consistently excelled

in board examinations, with most programs surpassing national passing
rates. Programs like the Bachelor of Science in Forestry and the Bachelor
in Elementary Education achieved a perfect 100% passing rate.

 National Recognition: Mr. Kevin Mar T. Dela Cruz, a BEED graduate of

Diffun Campus, secured the fifth spot in the national level during the
October 2022 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers, with an
impressive average of 93.60%. This achievement positions our University
among the top educational institutions in the country.

 Adapting to Challenges: Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic,

we have adapted by providing virtual training opportunities for students
in various programs, including virtual training for BSHM students and
on-campus practice teaching for prospective teachers.

A Global Perspective
In response to the Commission on Higher Education's call for
internationalization, our International Relations Office has been strengthened.
This enhancement has formalized partnerships with esteemed foreign
universities such as Can Tho University and facilitated collaborations with
institutions like Adamas University, Karpagam Academy in Higher Education of
India, Universiti Malaya, University of Nottingham of Malaysia, and Universitas
Padjadjaran of Indonesia. These partnerships have enriched the learning
experiences of our students through lecture series, conferences, virtual faculty-
student exchanges, and other initiatives that foster inter-country mobility.

Hence, our University's continuous quest for excellence and quality assurance,
even in the face of adversity, has borne fruit in the form of accreditation,
compliance, and international partnerships. We remain committed to our
mission of providing top-tier education and fostering a culture of continuous
improvement, positioning ourselves as a beacon of excellence in the realm of
higher education.
