Thank you for purchasing my pattern! I hope you will enjoy making it as much
as I did. I have invested a lot of time in creating this pattern, taking photos, writing
the instructions and making this PDF guide as clear as possible.
My patterns are for personal use and you can also sell your finished product as an
independent crafter. But please do not forget to credit me as the designer. Please
don’t share, reproduce, and sell this pattern. Feel free to make as many as you
would like for yourself or give someone as a gift. If you have any questions, just
drop me a line. Thanks a lot for your likes.
Materials:
1. Worsted weight yarn
2. 3.5mm crochet hook.
3. Tapestry needle
Abbreviations used in the pattern
(Please note that I use US terminology throughout.)
ch = chain chs = chains sc = single crochet hdc = half double crochet dc =
double crochet rep = repeat sk = skip sl st = slip stitch sp = space sps = spaces
st = stitch sts = stitches
Basic knowledge before you get started
1. How to do invisible decrease
Insert crochet hook only into the front loop of next st, insert into the front loop of
next st again, yarn over and draw the yarn through all the loops on the hook.
Round2: (see the arrow in the photo above which indicates the starting point of
round2) we are going to skip the first ch2 that we made in round1, and work in
the st after it. Make a standing hdc and a normal hdc in the first st, 2sc in next
2sts, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, dc in next st, (dc, edc, dc) in next st, dc in next
st, 2dc in next st, dc in next st, 2sc in next 2 sts, 2hdc in next st, 4edc into the
magic ring from first round. See the photo in the right hand bottom corner.
And after making 4edc, we are going to make an invisible close for this round,
actually we are going to use this method to make invisible close for each round.
Insert your needle into the second st from the beginning (not the first st).
Draw the yarn through and insert the needle into the back loop of last st from this
round.
From the top, it looks like a normal “V” st, you can see from the photo below on
the right side, the round finishes perfectly.
Round3: Attach new yarn to any st by making a standing sc, and sc in each st
around with 3sc in the st indicated in the photo below by a white arrow. Actually
3sc is made on top of that edc from round2.
And please use the invisible close method mentioned above to finish this round.
Round4: Now we are going to make round 4. Find the st indicated by the white
arrow in the photo below. This is the st we are going to start with.
Attaching new yarn by making a standing sc, sc in each of next 3sts, 2sc in next
st, sc in next st, 2sc in next st, sc in next 2sts, hdc in next st, 2hdc in next st, hdc
and dc in next st, dc in next st, 2edc in next st, edc in next st, 2edc in next st,
(edc, dtr, edc) in next st, 2edc in next st, edc in next st, 2edc in next st, dc in next
st, dc and hdc in next st, 2hdc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, 2sc in next
st, sc in next st, 2sc in last st.
And please use the invisible close method mentioned above to finish this round.

Round5: Now we are going to make round 5. Find the st indicated by the white
Rs
arrow in the photo below. This is the st we are going to start with.
Attach new yarn by making a standing sc, 2sc in next st, sc in each of next 8 sts,
2sc in next st, sc in next 6sts, hdc in next 3sts, (hdc,dc) in next st, (dc, edc) in
next st, edc in next st, (edc, dtr, edc) in next st, edc in next st, (edc, dc) in next st,
(dc, hdc) in next st, hdc in next 3sts, sc in next 6sts, 2sc in next st, sc in next 6sts.
And please use the invisible close method mentioned above to finish this round.
Round6: Now we are going to make round 6. Find the st indicated by the white
arrow in the photo below. This is the st we are going to start with.
Attach new yarn by making a standing sc, hdc in next st, dc in next st, edc in next
st, (edc, dtr, edc) in next st, edc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next
st.
(Sc, ch3, sc) in next st, *skip next st, (sc, ch3, sc) in next st, rep from* until you
have 2sts left shown in the photo below on the right side.
Skip next st, sc in next st, join with a sl st to first sc, ch5.
Skip first st, sc in next st, sc in next 3sts, (sc, ch2, sc) in next st, sc in next 4 sts,
now you will notice that you have 2sts left.
Make an invisible decrease to sc last sts together, ch5, and turn to the back.
Now we are at the back of the peacock and from now on we only work in back
loops, skip first st, sc in next 4sts. (sc, ch2,sc) in ch-2 sp, sc in next 4s, ch5 and
turn again.
Only work in back loops, skip first st, sc in next 4sts. (sc, ch2,sc) in ch-2 sp, sc in
next 4s, ch5 and turn again.
Keep repeating the blue text row by row until it reaches your desired length. I
actually in total repeat 15 rows. Then break the yarn and fasten off.
