SUBJECT:PARADE CEREMONY PROCEDURES

TO: All Pathfinder Club Directors/Cadet/Cadette Officers

I. The following procedures for the Pathfinders Club Parade Ceremony are hereby given for the
information and guidance of all concerned Club Directors/Cadet/Cadette officers, effective immediately.

.A. FORMATION OF TROOPS

All distances, from the formation of troops up to the final line, are adjustable according to the
size of the respective drill ground.

1. The club is formed at the assembly area, (right side of the Grand Stand) in line with the
divisions at mass formation. The four- man color at close interval is between the two
divisions. Each division is five paces from the Color at Parade, Rest (TIKAS, PAHINGA).

2. Band is positioned along the final line twelve (12) paces (it depends on the size of the
ground) to the right of the right of the marker facing the grandstand.

3. The club Staff Officers are far behind the Ready line at Parade, Rest (preferably at the
center of the ready line). At the start of the ceremony, the band plays march music and the
Staff marches straight forward at the first beat of the bass drum to the front of the
grandstand. Upon reaching their marker, the cadet club director commands halt, STAFF
BEHIND ME, MOVE (MGA PINUNO HINTO, SUMALUNAN KAYO, NA). The staff then
comes to parade rest. The cadet club deputy director (Adjutant) execute right flank, march
as the club staff approaches the Final Line and halts mid-way between the band and the
first marker. He faces about and comes to parade rest. When the club staff has come to
parade rest, the band stops the march music.

4. The cadet club deputy director (Adjutant) comes to attention and directs the band to play
ATTENTION. At the last note of Attention, the club is then brought to attention by the
Division “A” leader, who is the senior most officer in the formation. He (Adjutant) then
directs the band to sound off the ADJUTANT’S CALL.

5. At the last note of the Adjutant’s call, the division “A” leader commands, FORWARD
MARCH (PASULONG, KAD) but the rest of the unit stand fast and afterwhich, RIGHT
TURN, MARCH (PIHIT SA KANAN, KAD) FORWARD, MARCH (PASULONG, NA) are
given by the respective division leaders to catch up with the division “A”. A six pace-
distance is maintained in between units.

6. Upon reaching the final line, Division “A” leader gives LEFT TURN, MARCH ( PIHIT SA
KALIWA, NA) and FORWARD, MARCH (PASULONG, NA) respectively. Division
continues to march forward. Division “A” leader gives the command, COLUMN OF UNITS,
LEFT UNIT, COLUMN LEFT, MARCH (ISAHANG TUDLING, KALIWANG TUDLING, LIKO
SA KALIWA, NA) upon approaching the last marker of division “A”. Respectively units
formed in column in front of their marker and mark time march. The color executes left
turn, march(PIHIT SA KALIWA, NA) and halts in front of their marker. Division “B” leader
gives the same command to her unit. Club halts together at the last note of the music
played by the band.

7. Division leaders give SCRIBES ON LINE (MGA KALIHIM SA GABAY) and all unit scribes
march forward to their unit marker, halt and execute right face aligning themselves in
column with the cadet deputy director (ADJUTANT).

8. Club deputy director (Adjutant) commands STEADY (WALANG KILOS) and immediately
struts to a position center to the club half-way between the post of the cadet club director
and the final line, halts and faces about facing the club.

9. Division leaders direct COVER (TUMAKIP) and RECOVER (HANDA, BABA) in sequence,
after the steady, (WALANG, KILOS) command of the cadet club deputy director
(ADJUTANT) of subparagraph 8 above, then face about. At the command COVER the unit
captains raise their left arms, about one arm and six inches, from their guidon bearers. At
the command RECOVER the unit captains move at the head of the columns, three to six
paces from the final line. (with the guidon bearers following at three paces distance from
them and the scribes.

B. SOUND OFF

10. Cadet Club Director (ADJUTANT) commands SCRIBES, POST (MGA KALIHIM, SA
LUNAN) At the command SCRIBES, POST, unit scribes execute about face and post
himself/herself in front of the unit members, passing left side), PARADE, REST (TIKAS,
PAHINGA) to the club and SOUND OFF (IHUDYAT)
to the band.

11. The band will then play the three cords. The first cord is caution for all
cadet/cadetteofficers. At the second cord, all cadet/cadette officers come to attention and
on the third cord, assume the officers parade rest (left foot ten inches forward) arms are
braced forward, horizontal to the ground, with left over right arm.

12. Band plays the three cords before the band parade.

13. Band marches across the front of the club and returns to the original position and plays
again the the three cords.

14. Band returns to its original place and plays the three cords, on the second cord, all
cadet/cadette officers come to attention and on the third cord, assume the position of
parade rest.

C. HONORS TO _______________ AND PRESENTATION


15. The cadet club deputy director (ADJUTANT) commands PATHFINDERS, ATTENTION
(PATHFINDERS, HUMANDA) , HAND SALUTE BY THE NUMBER, ONE (SABAY SA
BILANG PUGAY KAMAY, ISA) , then faces a bout and reports: SIR, THE PARADE IS
FORMED (HANDA NA PO ANG PATIKAS).

16. Cadet Club Director acknowledges the salute of the deputy club director and directs him
POST ( SA LUNAN).

17. The cadet club director gives, READY, TWO (HANDA, DALAWA) and directs again, HAND
SALUTE BY THE NUMBER, ONE (SABAY SA BILANG PUGAY KAMAY, ISA), He gives,
READY, UP (HANDA, ITAAS) to his staff and then band plays the National Anthem. At the
last note of the National Anthem, he terminate his salute with his staff and commands,
READY, TWO (HANDA, DALAWA).

D. FACINGS

18. Cadet Club director commands FACINGS (PAGSASANAY SA PAGHARAP). The


following commands may be given: RIGHT, FACE (HARAP SA KANAN, RAP); LEFT,
FACE (HARAP SA KALIWA, RAP); ABOUT, FACE (TUMALIKOD, RAP); LEFT HALF,
FACE (HARAP HATING KALIWA, RAP); RIGHT HALF, FACE (HARAP HATING KANAN,
RAP); ABOUT, FACE (TUMALIKOD, RAP).

19. These commands are repeated by the division leaders in sequence. Division “A” leader on
the lead. At these commands, unit captains do not execute the commands, they merely
repeat; guidon bearers likewise do not execute the commands, they merely raise guidons
at preparatory commands and lower guidon at the command of executions.

E. MABUHAY

20. The Band will play Mabuhay right after the last Division performs the facings. The club
gives a Pathfinder claps and shout , MABUHAY!. (Clapping 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 3 – 4 – 3 – 4
(2X), then miss; 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 -3 – 4 – 3 – 4, then misses; 1 clap.)

E. REPORTS

21. Cadet club director directs RECEIVE THE REPORT (TANGGAPIN ANG ULAT).

22. Cadet club deputy director (ADJUTANT) marches out and go to his post center of the
command and commands, REPORT (MAG-ULAT).

23. Division leaders from right to left, salute and reports: SIR, DIVISION “A”/”B” ALL
PRESENT AND ACCOUNTED FOR (NARITO PO LAHAT AT NAPAG- ALAMAN NA).

24. Cadet club deputy director (ADJUTANT) returns each salute.

25. Cadet club deputy director faces about and salutes to the cadet club director and reports:
SIR, ALL PRESENT AND ACCOUNTED FOR (NARITO PO LAHAT AT NAPAG-ALAMAN
NA).

F. PUBLISHING THE ORDERS


26. Cadet club director acknowledges the salute of the cadet club deputy director and directs
him to PUBLISH THE ORDER (IPAHAYAG ANG KAUTUSAN).

27. Cadet club deputy director (ADJUTANT) faces about and publish the order.

28. Cadet club deputy director (ADJUTANT) publishes the order:

a. Attention to order (MAKINIG SA KAUTUSAN)


b. Details for today (MGA NAKATALAGA NGAYON)
c. Officer of the day (PUNONG PANGALAGA) Cadet Unit Captain __________________
_______________________ (kadetemagat) (give the complete name of the first Unit
Captain.)
d. Commander of the relief (PUNONG TANOD) Cadette Unit Captain ________________
_______________________ (kadetemagat) (give the complete name of the last Unit
Captain.)
e. By order of Cadet club director (SA UTOS NI KADETE DIRECTOR) _______________
(say the complete name of cadet club director)
f. Attested by cadet club deputy director (LINAGDAAN NG PANGALAWANG
DIRECTOR)_____________________ (give the complete name)
g. Cadet club deputy director (ADJUTANT) pauses after reading the order, commands,
PATHFINDERS, PARADE, REST (PATHFINDERS, TIKAS, PAHINGA)

G. OFFICERS CENTER MARCH

29. Cadet club deputy director (Adjutant) then commands OFFICERS, CENTER, MARCH
(MGA PINUNO, PUMAGITNA, NA).

30. At the command OFFICERS (MGA PINUNO) all cadet/cadette officers take one step
forward; guidon bearers march forward and post themselves three paces in front of their
unit captains.

31. At the command CENTER, (PUMAGITNA) all unit captains, guidon bearers and division
commanders face inward and march at the command MARCH (NA). Unit captains and
unit guidon bearers halt together in sequence to the center with the color officer as the
guide center. Officers distance are at normal. Club deputy director (Adjutant) faces about
and takes his post.

NOTE: When all officers have closed to the center the following distances/intervals shall be
observed.

a. Unit captains seven faces from the line of troops.


b. Guidon bearers three paces from the unit captains.
c. Division leaders three paces from the unit guidon bearers.
d. Interval of unit captains and guidon bearers are at normal.
e. Scribes one (1) pace from the line of troops.

32. Division “A” leader commands FORWARD, MARCH (PASULONG, KAD); OFFICERS
HALT (MGA PINUNO, HINTO), respectively.

33. At the command OFFICERS, HALT (MGA PINUNO, HINTO), the officers are halted six
paces in front of the cadet club director. All officers salute and guidon bearers present
guidon. Their salutes are acknowledged by the cadet director.

34 The band who is playing for the officers center march will stop their music when the
officers shall have halted and saluted.

35 After the officer have halted and saluted, the club director acknowledges their salutes,
give instruction if necessary and then commands OFFICERS POST, (Band leader blows
the preparatory whistle and march together) MARCH (MGA
PINUNO BALIK, KAD). The guidon bearers are on the lead.

36 The band begins to play in time with the command MARCH (KAD) of the cadet club
director.

37 The division “A” leader commands OFFICERS, HALT (MGA PINUNO, HINTO); POST,
MARCH (BALIK, NA). He halts the leading rank six paces from the line of troops. At this
command unit scribes, come to attention, face about and returns to their original position
of parade rest.

38. Unit captains and guidon bearers march to the original positions together. At the
command POST, MARCH (BALIK, KAD), respectively division leader gives the following
command for the unit captains and guidon bearers only; RIGHT, FACE (HARAP SA
KANAN, RAP) or (LEFT, FACE (HARAP SA KALIWA, RAP) and ABOUT FACE
(TUMALIKOD, RAP). Then they all resume the position of parade rest.

39. The band ceases to play when the last officer has taken his original post and has
executed parade rest.

H. PASS – IN – REVIEW

40 Cadet club director commands PATHFINDERS, ATTENTION (PATHFINDERS,


HUMANDA).

41 Cadet club director commands PASS – IN – REVIEW (PASAMASID). At this command


the band executes right face, moves to the line of march 20 paces forward, halts and left,
face. The cadet club director then gives COLUMN, RIGHT (LIKO SA KANAN, KAD).
Division leaders move to the head of their Division, six (6) paces, at left flank.

42 The club staff marches off forward, then inclining to the left and be at the head of the
march. The staff marches off at the command MARCH (KAD), execute two left turns
before the grand stand. The color executes COUNTER COLUMN, MARCH AND RIGHT
TURN, MARCH.

43 Band plays march music. First beat of the music will be in time with the command
MARCH (KAD) of the cadet club director.

44 Respective unit captain controls the unit from this point. (The commands are:
FORWARD, MARCH; COLUMN LEFT, MARCH; LEFT FLANK, MARCH; READY,
EYES RIGHT; READY, FRONT; RIGHT FLANK, MRCH; COLUMN LEFT, MARCH;
COLUMN LEFT, MARCH; LEFT FLANK, MARCH)

45 Band Deputy Director (Band officer) and majorette executes EYES, RIGHT (HANDA
KANAN TINGIN, NA) when passing the reviewing officer while others continue to play
march music.

46 Band Deputy Director (Band officer) and majorette direct the band to execute three left
turns, halts 12 paces from the left flank of the marching units.

47 Color guards execute eyes right, except the right most flank man. The unit color is dipped
for the salute.

48 The band officer and majorette only salutes the colors as they pass their front, while band
members continue to play without interruption. The band plays three cords upon seeing
the colors approaching the big marker. Then resume playing after the color passes the
big marker.

I. CONCLUSION

49. Unit captains command COLUMN LEFT, MARCH (LIKO SA KALIWA, NA, AND LEFT
FLANK, MARCH (KALIWANG PANIG, NA). Left flank march is given upon reaching the
first marker for the pass-in-review line. The units now are in line formation with the unit
captains six paces and center of the unit and guidon bearers three paces behind the unit
captains. Unit captains give READY EYES RIGHT (HANDA SA KANAN TINGIN, NA)
upon approaching the marker before the grandstand. The eyes right is held until the
marker after the grandstand. At the command EYE RIGHT, only the unit captains salute;
the guidon bearers, present guidons, members of the unit turn their heads to the right,
except the scribe who is the first man of the rank.

50. Unit captains give RIGHT FLANK, MARCH (KANANG PANIG, NA); and three COLUMN
LEFT, MARCH (LIKO SA KALIWA, NA) and come to the tactical inspection formation.

51 The club staff stays to the right of the grandstand and salutes the color when it passes in
front of them and marches back to their post in front of the grandstand when the last unit
shall have by-pass them.
52 Band will return/follow the unit to its position in the most convenient manner.

53 The club continues to march at MARK TIME, MRCH (PATAKDA, NA) when forming for
the tactical inspection formation and halt together at the last note of the band music.

54 Unit guidon bearers, raise their guidon on the second whistle of the majorette and lower it
down on the third whistle corresponding to the last note of the march of the band.

55 The tactical inspection formation is divisions in column with unit in line. A six paces
distance is observed by respective units.

II. These procedures must be followed strictly by the Pathfinder Clubs whenever this ceremony is
called for.

III. For strict compliance for all concerned.
