Programmes.

Application Fee
a) Zimbabwean Nationals
An application fee of US$20 must be paid during the online application process.
b) International Applicants
The application fee for International Applicants is US$30.

Closing dates of applications


a) The closing date for March classes applications is 26 January 2024

Science or Social Science subjects (Geography, Management or Economics) and 5 “O”
Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Science Honours ‘A’ Level pass in Mathematics or Mechanical Mathematics or Pure Mathematics or
Degree in Radiography Additional Mathematics plus Physics and one of the following; Biology, Chemistry and 5
“O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.

Special Entry: A Diploma in Radiography or equivalent qualification with at least 2 years


of clinical work experience. The applicant must be employed and practising radiography
at the time of applying for entry to the programme. Offered over a period of 18 months.
Bachelor of Science Honours 2 ‘A’ Level passes in any of the following subjects: Sports Science and Technology,
Degree in Sports Science and Physical Education, Sport and Mass Display, Sport Management, Biology, Food Science,
Coaching Food Technology and Design and 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and
Mathematics.

Special Entry: Candidates who have successfully completed a Diploma in Sports Science
or Physical Education or its recognised equivalent may apply.

FACULTY OF THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT
DEGREE PROGRAMME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Architectural ‘A’ Level pass in Mathematics or Mechanical Mathematics or Pure Mathematics or
Studies Honours Degree (5 Additional Mathematics plus any of the following subjects: Physics, Art, Geometrical &
years) Mechanical Drawing, Building Technology, Design & Technology and 5 “O” Level passes
including English language and Mathematics.

Special Entry: A National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Architecture or


Architectural Technology with a pass at “O” Level in Mathematics and English.

Mature Entry: 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English and Mathematics. Applicants must
be above 25 years of age and are required to submit a CV, Portfolio and may be subjected
to an interview.
Bachelor of Science Honours 2 ‘A’ Level passes in either Mathematics or Further Mathematics or Mechanical
Degree in Quantity Surveying (4 Mathematics or Statistics or Pure Mathematics or Physics and any other subject and 5 “O”
years) Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.

Special Entry: Applicants must have a National Diploma in Quantity Surveying with a
pass at ‘O’ Level in Mathematics and English.
Bachelor of Science Honours 2 ‘A’ Level passes in Mathematics or Further Mathematics or Mechanical Mathematics or
Degree in Construction Statistics or Pure Mathematics or Physics and any other subject and 5 “O” Level passes
Management (4 years) including English Language and Mathematics.

Special Entry: Applicants must have a National Diploma in Architectural Technology,


Civil Engineering, Civil and Construction Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Town
Planning 5 “O” Level passes including Mathematics and English.
Bachelor of Science Honours 2 A’ Level passes in Geography, Mathematics or Mechanical Mathematics or Pure
Degree in Property Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, Business Studies,
Development and Estate Management of Business and 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and
Management (4 years) Mathematics.

Special Entry: A National Diploma in Town Planning, Valuation and Estate


Management, Quantity Surveying, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Finance
and Business Studies; The Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe certification or its
equivalence. Additional qualifications and work experience will be an added advantage.

FACULTY OF COMMERCE
DEGREE PROGRAMME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Commerce  2 ‘A’ level passes in Accounting and any one of the following subjects: Mathematics,
Honours Degree in Accounting Statistics, Economics and Business Studies/Business Enterprise Skills and 5 “O” Level
passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Commerce Honours 2 ‘A’ level passes in both Mathematics and Statistics and one Commercial subject and 5
Degree in Actuarial Science “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Commerce ‘A’ level pass in Economics and any one of the following subjects: Accounting,
Honours Degree in Banking Mathematics, Business Studies and any other commercial subject and 5 “O” Level passes
and Investment Management including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Commerce A’ Level pass in Economics and any two commercial subjects plus 5 “O” Levels passes
Honours Degree in Economics including English Language and Mathematics. A pass in Advanced Level Mathematics is
and Econometrics an added advantage.
Bachelor of Commerce ‘A’ level passes in Economics or Accounting or Mathematics and any other commercial
Honours Degree in Finance subject and 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.

Bachelor of Engineering 3 ‘A’ level passes in Mechanical Mathematics or Pure Mathematics or Additional
Honours Degree in Chemical Mathematics and Chemistry plus Physics or Biology and 5 “O” Level passes including
Engineering English Language and Mathematics

Special Entry: Relevant National Diploma plus 2 years’ experience.


Relevant Higher National Diploma plus 1-year experience.

Bachelor of Engineering At least 3 ‘A’ level passes in Pure Mathematics/Additional Mathematics/ Mechanical
Honours Degree in Civil and Mathematics, Physics and either Chemistry, Computer Science or Engineering Drawing
Water Engineering and 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.

Special Entry: National Diploma/ Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering or


equivalent and two years of relevant experience.
Bachelor of Engineering At least 3 ‘A’ level passes in Pure Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics/ Mechanical
Honours Degree in Electronic Mathematics, Physics and either Chemistry, Computer Science and 5 “O” Level passes
Engineering including English Language and Mathematics.

Special Entry: Relevant National Diploma plus 2 years’ experience. Relevant Higher
National Diploma plus 1 year working experience.
Bachelor of Engineering 3 ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics, Pure Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics/
Honours Degree in Industrial Mechanical Mathematics, Physics and either Chemistry, Computer Science or

Bachelor of Engineering 3 A’ Level passes in Chemistry, Mathematics Additional Mathematics/ Mechanical
Honours Degree in Fibre and Mathematics/ Pure Mathematics and Physics and 5 “O” Level passes including English
Polymer Materials Engineering Language and Mathematics.

Special Entry: Diploma in Polymer Science and/ Engineering or Fibre Science and
Engineering or equivalent and 2 years of relevant working experience.

FACULTY OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE


DEGREE PROGRAMME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science Honours Special Entry Only
Degree in Public Health A National Diploma in Environmental Health or any other equivalent qualification plus
two years’ work experience.
5 O’ Levels including English Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Science Honours 2 “A” level passes in Geography, Biology or Chemistry plus
Degree in Geographical 5 “O” level subjects including Mathematics and English Language.
Information Systems and
Remote Sensing in Natural Special Entry
Resources Management A National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Geographical Information Systems,
Geo-Informatics and Remote Sensing or its equivalent. Applicants will be subjected to an
interview.
Bachelor of Science Honours ‘A’ Level pass in Biology and any of the following subjects: Chemistry, Geography,
Degree in Environmental Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Additional
Science and Health Mathematics Agriculture, Food Science and 5 “O” level passes including English
Language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Science Honours ‘A’ Level pass in Biology, Agriculture or Crop Science and any other Science subject and
Degree in Forest Resources and 5 “O” Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Wildlife Management
Special entry: National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant
field.

Mature Entry: Applicant should be at least 25 years old plus have relevant experience in
the field of wildlife, Forestry and Natural Resources. The Applicant may be subjected to
an interview.

FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION
DEGREE PROGRAMME ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Design and The 2-year programme targets non-graduate school teachers and related personnel in the
Technology Education field of education.
(Honours) Degree A recognised Diploma or Certificate in Education in any of the following: Applied Art
and Design; Clothing, Textile and Fashion Design; Design and Technology. Possession of
a relevant ‘A’ Level subject will be an advantage.
Applicants must have 5 ‘O’ Level subjects including English and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Science Education A recognised Secondary School Diploma or Certificate in any of the following:
(Honours) Degree Accounting and Business Studies; Mathematics; Biology; Chemistry; Physics; Computer
Science.
Applicants must have at least 5 ‘O’ Level subject passes including English Language and
Mathematics.
Applicants with a Primary School teaching qualification must also have a pass at A level
in the intended subject of study or equivalent.
Bachelor of Technology A National Diploma or equivalent qualification in any of the following subjects: Civil and
Education (Honours) Degree Construction Engineering; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Mechanical and
Industrial Engineering; Technical Graphics; Wood Science and Technology.
Applicants must have 5 ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
Additionally, applicants must have a Diploma or Certificate in Engineering, Technology,
Technical or Vocational education.
Applicants must be non-graduate school teachers, college lecturers, trainers, instructors
and related personnel in schools, institutions, organizations and industry who meet the
requirements for admission by special entry into the two-year programme.
Bachelor of Design and 2 ‘A’ Level passes in any of the following: Applied Art and Design; Clothing, Textile;
Technology Education Honours Fashion Design, Design and Technology including the relevant subject of specialization
Degree (4 Years) or its equivalent. 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Science Education Subject Options:
Honours Degree (4 Years) Accounting and Business Studies, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and
Computer Science including the relevant subject of specialization or its equivalent.
5 ‘O’ Level passes including English language and Mathematics.
Bachelor of Technology Subject Options: Civil and Construction Engineering, Mechanical and Industrial
Education Honours Degree (4 Engineering, Technical Graphics, Wood Science and Technology, and Electrical and
Years) Electronics Engineering.

Entry requirements: Two ‘A’ Level passes including the relevant subject of
specialization or its equivalent. 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English language and
Mathematics.

NB: Applications should be accompanied by certified copies of Birth Certificate, National Identity Card,
Educational and Professional Certificates.
